we all receive our internet access from whoever our ISP is. so if our ISP decides we are not fit to have internet they can take that away (ex. copyright infringement).

with WMN we'd basically directly connect nodes (computers, phones, wireless devices) to each other to transfer information without passing through an ISP or whoever authorizes your network access. since the network would consist of devices being directly connected, the only way to shut down the network would be to shut down every single device.

so if everyone in this thread lived in the same city and we established a mesh network we'd be able to communicate and transfer info just like we do on the internet without an authority telling us what we can and can't do.

so outside of an ISP not controlling **** would it still work the same as the internet we know or would it be a whole new system and would it even be possible for the entire world to be on one of thise systems? and how would it work with viruses and **** like that?
