RIP Leonard Nimoy- He lived long and he prospered

R I P

Leonard Nimoy, who famously played Mr. Spock, died at home Friday morning in Bel-Air... after battling chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

The "Star Trek" star announced last year that he was battling the disease and attributed it to years and years of smoking. He had given up the habit 30 years ago.

I wasn't esp into Star Trek...but as someone who likes a lof of things that are considered nerdy/geeky, it feels like a loss.

This has rattled me more than i might have anticipated.

RIP.

not that i know much about him outside of Spock, but he seemed to live a happy and productive life that people are going to celebrate

We need to find Planet Genesis and shoot him towards it ASAP. :frown:
Seriously though, RIP.

I think there are only so many Star Trek first generation actors left. I think it's only William Shatner, George Takei, Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) and Walter Koenig (Chekov).

RIP
