RIP Sherman Hemsley

As a dumb little kid, I actually loved watching Mr. Nanny, as terrible as it is now that I'm an adult.

I appreciated his part in that film, his character never gave up his friend, even in the face of torture.

R.I.P.

Been watchin The Jeffersons on Tv Ove (or Centric) religiously recently. R.I.P.

Him and Florence fathered Martin and Pam's relationship

no lie I just thought about him also wondering if he was still working or was making guest appearances on some show RIP

Reading this reminded me of when he was on 'The Hughleys' and he told Darryl that his hair looked like Taco meat... I almost died laughing that episode.

RIP again to the Horseshoe king.

I know my mom is somewhere like,

To any journalist, news organization, twitter user or blogger who insists on using different lazy variations regarding Helmsley's 'moving on up,' I implore you to read Sarah Vowell's stunning essay titled 'Ixnay on the My Way.'

a very talented actor/comedian has passed
& it makes me a little sad

selfishly, as i get older, i'm coming to terms with the fact that a lot of the people i grew up admiring
are now getting to that age
