From this past weekend. Thank god for my knee support wrap. Other wise I wouldn't have made it pass mile 2. Haven't jogged in over a month until the day before the race with this nagging injury. Might need to have a doc take a look at it

Also zoom streak 5 > flyknit racers, IMO

Should have bought more of them instead of stocking up on the racers :lol

Congrats on the finish.

And definitely go see a doctor. I've been avoiding it the past few days. Finally made the appointment.

Nice, Sir! Zoom Streaks are definitely better than I expected. I'm not sure if I'd rank them over the FKRs... yet.

Thanks guys

No other planned races for me in the near future. Going to focus on recovering, hopefully if all goes well I can actually start running on a consistent basis I might sign up for one or two more races before the end of the year

Had my feet and calves checked out by my chiropractor. Seems that I have aggregated my post tibia in both legs. She recommended a few exercises and to get a pair of structure 20s for the additional support. Ran in them today. What a difference. Love them so far...

Today's run with NRC

Last couple of runs. Using the NRC app to train for the Chicago marathon. Trying to follow it to a T. Can't run the slow paces it is suggesting though. Maybe more for the longer runs...

I used the app for my first couple of half marathons, but simply for distance - I didn't do the interval training.  Once you get the idea of the training pattern, you can adjust it to your style pretty easily.

Tonight's run with NRC. Speed session tonight. Structure 20s have moved up to my shoe of choice. A significant difference for my flat feet.

Completed my first half marathon this past Sunday. Great first experience. Some real nice people, even got cheered on from some runners doing the marathon option. Ended up finishing 12/22 in my age group with an average pace of 8:59 min/mile. Finished the course in 1:57:43

Getting ready to register for a few more events, Gov Island 10K and the Queens 1/2 Marathon. I'm hooked lol

My unofficial results with NRC app. What I can't understand is how the app recorded two more miles than the actual course. I also ran the 1/2 marathon with my brothers, which also had their apps tracking and they ended up with 13.1 & 13.2 miles. What's crazy is that the time I finished with the app is close enough to the time I officially completed the course

That is indeed weird.

On another note, I see that the Nike+ app brought back badges, but they didn't have one for Global Running Day?

Just wondering, anyone of you guys tried running in an Adi pure boost dpr? Cannot find a running review online so I don't really know where else to go. Also trying to find out if the sole is good for wet weather too. Thanks!

Haven't ran since I did a half marathon in May. I got a sprained ankle and almost a strain fracture. Going to try my first three-four miler tomorrow. Going to rock the yawn Hoka One Three.

Not quite illustrayt illustrayt - I would need three more miles and about 30 seconds faster per mile [emoji]128540[/emoji] - but this one felt great for me, especially after some discouraging mornings of tired slogs.

Anybody on here wear Brooks? I have a pair of Launch 3s that I love. Any other models that are pretty good?

Cant really speak too much about their line. Because of my flat feet, I've been rocking the Beast for a minute. I've tried on the Ghost as well. Solid shoe and construction. There are many sources out there like Runner's World and Sole Review.

probably not meant to be main running shoes, thats why. If its the one I'm thinking of, they were meant for casual street use more
