RUN with US on INSTAGRAM #NTrunning (NikeTalkRunning)

grueling. so you never hit the wall in any previous marathons?

i still wanna avenge my last marathon...same thing here, last 6 were brutal...
No not really, I have only run in fall marathons before, and today got up to about 60 degrees. I think hydration and fueling was my downfall.

I didn't believe in hitting the wall today. Thought it was all hype. Then I hit mile 20 of Rotterdam and died a slow painful death :lol . Seriously, hit the 31k on pace for 226, then a proceeded to run at least a 43+ minute 10k. Disappointed to say the least, but I can't complain to much as I am in Rotterdam running.

Awww man... I can't even imagine the disappointment on your end :/

I hit the wall BAD for the first time on my second full at around 19-20mi, and I was aiming at a BQ. Just thinking about upcoming 6-7mi brought me to walking, and I ended up finishing at 3:40 :(

Anyhow... I'm almost at 300mi on these Racers! Here's yesterday's tourist run from Burbank to CityWalk. The incline on Barham was no joke. :/

Somehow I unsubscribe to this thread (probably because there's two running threads).

I went to a running specialty store yesterday. Going in, I know I have like 0 arches, over pronate, etc.

I've been using the Brooks Beast the last three and a half months. I have a pair of Asics Gel Kayano 21s too.

The clerk had me jump on the tread mill. We could see the over pronation as my ankle rolls some what.

I then tried on the following shoes in this order:

Mizuno Wave Paradox
Hoka One One
NB 1260
Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15
Adidas Ultra Boost

They had a rubber track so I'd jog around it and do cuts to get a feeling of the shoe.

The Hoka One was Cushiony. It had a little less stability than my Beast but they were nice. I could definitely give these a shot.

I had a pair of NB 1540 before. Didn't really like them. I felt the 1240s were cool.

The Brooks Adrenaline performed like my Kayanos. I did like the solid color blocking they had (All Red, etc).

The Mizunos were pretty good too.

Didn't buy anything. Probably stick with the two I have. I'm probably going to give the Lynco 420 orthotics a try for in soles when I'm running.

I was told to stay FAR away from the Adidas due to the lack of stability. They're very comfortable.

Clerk did not bring out a single Nike, Reebok, Adidas, UA, etc shoe. I asked to see the Ultra Boosts.

i just ran this in lunarracer 3s. they actually feel a little small. does anyone size up on these? been reading mixed results on various forums.

Ran 3 miles around Central Park today. My lowers backs still bothering me, ran a nice 8:30 pace to see how my abck will take it tomorrow. Beautiful day though.

First time running outside this year felt like crap and I have a cold but it felt good to be running again.

What's up NT running fam?

I've got a quick question and I figured this would be the best thread to ask.

I'm really looking to jog much more often nowadays since I have much more free time on my hands. The problem is I believe I have an extremely flat foot and I believe I overpronate. I've done some research online and noticed that people recommend to jog in a pair of Lunar Eclipse +5s.

Would you guys recommend that model for me as well?

Much appreciated NT running family. :Nthat

For any South Suburb Chicago heads...check out Running4Kicks. Amazing store. I know I'm young at 19, but having run XC & Track in HS I like to think I know what I'm talking about. Glad to join this thread.

NT running family,

I got back from my local running store and got them to check my feet on some sort of scanning machine and checked the points of my feet that get the most pressure as I run. I over pronate insanely. :x

The guys at the running store suggested stability runners for me, so I came back home with the Lunar Eclipse 5s.

Going to start logging in some miles starting tomorrow and get back on that fit life. :Nthat

What's everyone's names on Nike+? I'll add. 8o

I want to get back to running as much as I did back when I was in high school. :)

I use to do hill workouts 2x a week. Would run at least a 2 mile warm-up followed by 10 hills and a 2 mile cool down. Definitely was imo the best way to build speed especially for longer distance running.

I just gotta 6Plus what do you guys use for running. I tried arm sleeves but they mess up in a month. I'm thinking one of those belt things for running.

one of the main reason i refused to get a phablet like the Note or 6 Plus because I always run with my phone. PLUS, I never use armbands etc. I just put it in my pocket.

I think with those phablets you have no choice but to get an armband of some sort. Thats crazy they mess up in a month? Was it designed specifically for your phone?

It just sucks that although the iphone 6 Plus is bigger physically, the Note has a bigger screen yet being slightly smaller. :p but this isn't the apple/android phone thread. 8)

My Iphone 6 (regular) has been clutch though.
I also have the tomtom Nike Watch, fuel band, and the old nike plus stuff (those pods you put in the shoe) and the armband before the fuelband and watch.
Dont use any of em anymore. just strictly the phone and the nike running app.

Havn't ran for 2 days. Been having some discomfort, not really "pain" on my heel. Never changed my form or anything, just my shoes. From LG 5, to LG 6. My LG 6 has about 175 miles on it so far. To be honest I never felt good about the LG 6 since I started using them brand new, as I did with my LG 5s or 4s which I've put nearly 400 miles and 150 miles on respectively. Might bust out my LG 4s since they only have 150 miles on em.

I run while holding my 6 Plus. I'd rather rock an armband but my arms are massive (GAINS BREH)

so armbands don't fit me.

Don't really mind holding it though

First time running outside this year felt like crap and I have a cold but it felt good to be running again.

Went for a run in about 60 degree weather, slight breeze..man my throat was done about 5 mins in. That type where if I breathed in to much it'll hurt like a *****. I wasn't even tired..so annoying man.
