RUN with US on INSTAGRAM #NTrunning (NikeTalkRunning)

Yeah sometimes when I run I feel like my bone is going to pop out my leg in the front :lol

Don't know if it's shin splits or just not being accustomed to running

The pain does go away, and you'll get stronger and faster! Things will eventually get easier for you, as long as you keep it up. [emoji]128170[/emoji]

Listening to music on the run helps me block out the pain, fatigue and doubt. Try creating a playlist with songs that inspire or motivate you.

Whew lol I'm happy to hear that. I do love the feeling I get right after the run though. Makes me feel accomplished lol.

I definitely made the playlist. I can't go running without music at all. :x

Consistency man, dont focus too much on numbers. If you aim for 2 miles and finish 2 miles, dont worry about the time. You'll get better and better.

Most definitely man! I'll keep at it. I noticed it's much more different running outside as opposed to the treadmill. :lol
I decided to take advantage of the NY weather this time of year and just run outside the majority of the time.
It sucks that it's raining hard today though. :lol

Bro I feel it in my ankles and lower shins as if I was jumping all day. :lol

Pouring all week here in Toronto. Gonna try and log some runs though

Kinda hard working 12hr shifts [emoji]128529[/emoji]

I'd prefer the overall tempo, but, in order to get there, I think you have to build up your endurance first. So, doing that comfortable pace with the short bursts would be a nice start, IMO.

Also remember to shorten your stride
400

Just got back from my lunch. Prior to working out I did a mile under 8 mins. 7.52 mins mile :Nthat

Thanks in part to the shorter strides along with aggressive foot strikes

Soreness in my left knee. Feels awkward to walk and slightly painful in certain sitting positions. Should I rest it for a few days? [emoji]128555[/emoji]

can you pinpoint what happened to cause the soreness? i did a long run last Wednesday afternoon and made the mistake of playing basketball in the wrong shoes the next morning. my left foot is unusually sore and I'm gonna wait out a few more days before doing any physical activity. I'd certainly wait out a few days especially if you are talking about your knees.

I was sprinting up stairs. Didnt feel the soreness asap, slowly creeped up on me after a day or 2

Finally got the closure I needed with this chick I was dealing with recently. Still a little upset about how things ended, but what I do after getting that closure?

Ran my fastest mile and fastest 5k while bumping 808's and Heartbreak! Although I pretty much sprinted out of the gate and spent all of my energy in the first mile.

That running therapy

I'm sorry for what you had to go through, bro. But, yes, running can be great therapy! Congrats on your new PRs! [emoji]128170[/emoji]
