True story.
Back in the day around 02-04 I used to hoop religiously at the 24 on Bruceville. This was way back before the redid the courts. There were two courts, the one closest to the glass door was where all the legit ballers played, and the court further out was where all the Latinos and Asians played.
Andre Miller would go there from time to time since I think he had a baby mama in EG.
Anyway, one night I was hoopin, and he walked in and I was playing with the ballers because there weren't enough people to play on the other court. Andre decided to run a few games and I played against his team. He posted me up on one possession (although playing at about 35% of his ability) and easily scored against me. I kid you not, on the way back up the floor I called for the ball in the post and everyone started laughing. I got the ball, did a quick spin and a pump fake. He actually bit on it and I proceeded to put up the cleanest fade away that's ever come off my finger tips. It looked so good, perfect spin, that I kept my hand up because I knew it wouldn't even hit the rim.
It turned out to be an air ball like two feet short. He then broke to the basket on a fast break, and get an easy lay-up after dude caught my airball and threw the ball down court.
What was the point of my story you say? There wasn't one, but if you like that story, just wait until I tell you about the time I hooped with Ruthie Bolton at that same gym.
