Saddest Day Ever....

I know how you feel man.

my dog is on her last year or two.. She's bout to be 10. Went through middle school, high school and half of college with her around. I'm a home bodyso I am around her a lot. When ever she goes I am going to cry like a baby. It sucks when you get the dogs when your younger because you become so attached tothem. This is the first dog I've had for over a year and it will hurt when she's gone. Also considering she reminds me so much of my grandpa who passeda few years ago which was very traumatic it will feel like losing my gpa all over again and losing my dog.

I work at an animal hospital. Would you like to know what happens? I'll tell you.

They inject with your dog with whatever the stuff is. After a few minutes, the dog takes it's last breath and dies. Part of my job (I'm a Pet Care Specialist) is to put your dog in a black garbage back before rigor mortis sets in and before his/her body fluids begin to leak out. After I make an ID tag to tie the bad with, I put him/her in the doggy freezer until the guy from the cremation place comes and gets your dog. It sucks, but it's a part of life.
I had a 12 year old Chow Chow that we had to put down a couple years ago. That dog was around ever since I startedgrade school...so I know how you feel bro. He wasn't just a dog, he was a family member. My condolences, fam.

thanks a lot guys, I think what made it worse is that I had to hear her crying so loud and suffering and after they took her away my mom just started tearingdown.
It feels so empty in the house, I'm so used to her being around that I actually woke up earlier to go take her for a walk forgetting shes not hereanymore....

Stay strong, man.

I remember when I was a kid and my fish died. My little sister and I cried a lot as my mom flushed him down the toilet.

My first family dog got put to sleep on Christmas Eve, It was 4 years older than me.

I recently went through the same thing, one month ago yesterday. It was hard she was 13, and i'm 21 so that was a majority of my good years. We spentthousands trying to save her but in the end we couldn't. i was in the room when they put her to sleep and almost threw up. it still hurts, its not the samewhen you walk through the door. and just last weekend not remembering i told the guy at the restaurant take the leftovers for my dog. :-( RiP PRECIOUS

sorry for your loss. it's the last responsible thing you can do for them. it's tough to be in the same room she/he is put to sleep.
you'll look back on so many memories, usually lasting through a couple stages of your life.
