half of me checking in pops straight from el Salvador mom irish, Italian, and german word to papusas and queso I grew up on that ish but I sadly speak broken Spanish and look like an Irishman hahaha
 
Full blooded Salvadoran here. My mom is from Zacatecoluca and my pops hails from La Union. Last time I went was when I was 5 years old. My parents weren't going to take chances with the gang violence over there.

The Salvadoran campesino accent is unique. I don't like it but it's definitely unique.
 
is it as cray as they say in el salvador? 

would love to check it out one day but have reservations...

Anywho, pops is from Chalatenango, El Salvador.

Only time I've been out there was when I was 12 years old.

Definitely want to visit again.
 
I was 16 when i last was in ES. It wasn't that bad when i went, but i've heard it's gotten worse. If you stay around the tourist resorts you'll be fine. Although i love the country, it's too much of a risk for me now that i am starting a family. IMO
