**Seattle Mariners 2024 Season Thread ** | ELIMINATED |

Like I said in another thread:
I was too disgusted to post last night. Screw Yamauchi, Larsen, and the rest of the manure that owns the M's.

Now, I'm not sure where this team is going but going "young" is only a great excuse for fielding a team of cheap players. Ackley, Smoak, and the rest of these young guys are total crapshoots and this is not how you build a contender. You mix in solid vets with young bats and build something. Cutting payroll and fielding a bunch of nobodies will not put butts in the seats nor help with merchandising.

I bought a teal Ichiro authentic yesterday, as that's probably the last M's jersey I buy for years to come.

M"s recalled Trayvon Robinson with Carp too....

Have not heard his name in a while

Smoak back to Tacoma

 long overdue.

Luetge has been money all season

Edit: Check swing RBI, lulz

If we win tomorrow, that would be the first time we won three straight series this season I think?

Ackley is at .220, Seager at .240, Carp at .146, Peguero at .161, Kawasaki at .192. Of course, Ryan is probably at .059 by now. It should be ILLEGAL to charge big league prices for this AA garbage.

MLB Network last night mentioned that Hanley was hitting a paltry .245 and having a horrible year and I was thinking...."Man, he would be the gem of Seattle's lineup." :lol :{

Agreed but when your top hitting prospects are continuing to fail does it say something about the organization and the way they're handled or what hitting coaches are being hired as well? For as disappointing as the trio has been, are they all busts or is there something going wrong in Seattle. They went about it in a decent way to try and build towards something and have those 3 be the "vets" when they start contending.

They need to do something about that ballpark TBH.

New coaching, new ballpark dimensions, new ownership...two of those three have a chance to be fixed. I hope they are taken into serious consideration immediately.

Wedge taking shots at Mike Golic lol.

I'd like to see the ownership change first and foremost. Typically, success/failure filters from there.

I dunno if moving the fences will do much good.  It's not like they're hitting tons of singles and doubles, but no homers...

Anyway, crazy how this might be Ichiro's last AB at Safeco... for 2012 anyway!

They should move the fences back for all I care now. If we can't hit homers there, NOBODY can! :lol

Checking out the Aquasox tonight. See what this Zunino is all about.

I'm curious if anyone knows hot the different single-A affiliates work. I noticed the guy who pitched very well last time I was there is now playing for the Clinton Lumberkings. It's the M's Single-A Midwest League affiliate. Maybe just to see him against different players?..
