That's like what? Raul's 5th-6th gif of the season.

By the end of the season, Baseball Tonight could make a top 10-web gems of him alone.

Looks like we're just finding ways to lose.

Dont know when this started to be this bad but for the last few years I can remember Jays fans have taken over Safeco.

It's bad enough that the BoSox fans flood in, but now Toronto too!?

And now with them sweeping us... makes it even more infuriating.

He's gotta be..he's been solid all year in long relief, and might be an even better closer right now. He just throws strikes.

1st round pick, DJ Peterson, on the fast track?
That's four homers in just 11 LumberGames for Peterson, and 10 overall in 40 professional outings.  He's slugging .539.  [For reference, last year, after 40 games, Mike Zunino (Talk40 #1) had 13 homers and was slugging .720; and he was already in AA.] - See more at: http://seattlesportsinsider.com/art...me-action-recap-august-5#sthash.JnwA9TdV.dpuf

So, at this point in the season what are everyone's views on he season?

I feel like it was a step in the right direction. I have a good grasp on who a lot of these guys are as players/hitters and encouraged by some rookies and how a guy like Smoak has positioned himself ofr a breakout year next season. It was a good year to weed out those that won't be apart the WS Championship. Hopefully Ack just needs a fresh avg. to start with next season to get him on track or else it's adios real quick.

1 and 2 in the rotation is sold and the other spots will start sorting itself out with September call-ups and with spring training next year.

I'm definitely encouraged right now.

^ Yeah, same here... though not were I'd like to be, it's still a leap from last season.  We just need more consistency from... everywhere.  A solid 1-2 in the rotation, but need the other starters to step it up.  Scoring more runs, but will need consistent contribution from the kids.  Definitely steps in the right direction.

Still need that 1 big bat in the line-up though.  We expected it to be Morse this season, but it's turning out to be Raul and Kendrys as well. What do we do with them in the offseason?  1-year deals for all 3 this season, I think?

I'd sign Kendrys for sure. 4-years or so. I wouldn't be surprised to see Morse and Ibanez go, but a 1-year deal may be ideal.

I feel exactly the same way I did last year at this point..optimistic, the win totals are about the same, the offense was picking up as well ( I remember when we were one of the best offenses on the road for solid stretch

)

I'll feel alot better if they can sustain this for the rest of the season and finish strong, perhaps get to .500? They kinda faltered last august after the win streak.

I will say I am more encouraged that it seems pitching this year overall was more of a problem than the offense, which is good considering the guys we have in the fold that'll be coming up with the next 18 months.

I feel like this team has potential. The offense doesn't look as stagnate as in recent years. The comeback against Toronto is a example of that.Current pitching staff worries me, but we have arms in AAA that are on the way to solidify things.

The team really needs to focus on defense. The middle infield looks spectacular one play, and mind boggling bad the next. Ackley needs to find a spot. Can't play center and second base looks to be Franklin's.

Let Morse walk, try to get Kendry for a decent price, as well as Ibanez. I never want to see Harrang, Beaven or Noesi pitch again. See what we have in Mauer and Ramirez and go on from there.
