**Seattle Mariners 2024 Season Thread ** | ELIMINATED |

It confirms what I thought, that Jack Z is a bumbling idiot. I read a while ago an article about who was really pulling the strings in MIL, and it wasn't him who found those star players (Prince, Braun, etc.) and we see since he's got to Seattle no one of that caliber emerge. I'm sorry but Seager is not a guy to carry a club. Cano is great but as we see the impact from that huge contract is high average but no one to knock him in. Junior is not walking through that door. A-Rod is not walking through that door. Hell, Richie Sexson is not walking through that door. This offense is poisoned. :{

LOL at today's lineup!!! Lloyd is like "this is what you're giving me to work with?! Eff it then..."

Don't know much about Castillo, but when I heard switch-hitter from Venezuela I thought about Carlos Guillen :lol

Jack Z and Jay-Z need to connect on this one.

He sounds like he's what we need. RH,OF, Gap hitter, speed

He also only 16. It's going to be a while
He's 27

We must be talking about two different people

Yeah I think I was thinking about Brayan as well and not the coveted Rusney Castillo...

^^^

Mariners signed no. 3 ranked international prospect Brayan Hernandez, teenage prospect from Venezuela, and are one of many teams interested in Cuban stud Rusney Castillo, a Roc Nation Sports client.

Edit: Castillo has a private workout scheduled with M's on Sunday.

Do you think anyone is willing to deal with Jack Z after these claims? I've seen the story on three different websites now.

Hopefully the guys running to Rosenthal is a small group that doesnt go beyond the 2 or 3 guys quoted in that article. I would hate to imagine almost all of baseball is done with the guy..I would hope not

There's gotta be some folks who know him personally that dont mind dealing with him

I actually suprised myself by being in the minority on this Jack Z topic. I don't find the problem with him being difficult to deal with. At least not based off a few accusations. It may be that the GM's interviewed are just bitter that Z retracted a trade in the latter stages of the process. I don't think it's undoubtedly a bad thing because we really don't know exactly how he handles trade inquiries and such. I can totally see him fishing for offers and fielding calls to see what he can get and where and who he'd have to give up in deals with certain teams.

He's never really had problems with making deals before, so as of right now I'll just take it as a few GM's are just upset that he handles things differently then they do. Big whoop.
