Yeah, I won't miss him, but I feel for him.  Just a shame considering that he was a top 5 pick or something?

:lol Picked before Trout and after Strasburg. :lol

We really got hosed on that situation. Should have had the first pick... We were abysmal the year before. :{

Wellllll

Still, this guy is a major league bust. He had that flash in the pan call up to begin his career, and then... nothing.
These guys can't develop hitters either

 It certainly comes off as a combination of both between mediocre picks and mediocre development

I hope they dont ruin Alex

We have like the curse of Adam Jones or something, seems like the outfield has been a mess for a decade! I feel like I took the Jr/Buhner & Cameron/Ichiro years for granted...

I'm questioning development too. DJ Peterson certainly slowed down, and Alex Jackson is batting sub .200 at Clinton for goodness sake! If top prospects like them are struggling, guys like Gabby Guerrero and Austin Wilson have zero shot!

Alex is hopefully the super prospect they panned him to be, but I won't hold my breath anymore with our prospects. Tai Walker right now looks like a guy who just throws a straight fastball at 95 and expects to blow by hitters, and Paxton has crappy mechanics, let alone freakin Hultzen will never be right. Our prospects keep tanking, Zunino being the latest to become a complete k machine. They rushed Zunino.

Guti was supposed to be a perennial gold glover in CF that could hit you .280 with 20 HR, then his health fell off the table. Ackley was supposed to be another mainstay in LF but he has the arm of a weenie and grows a beard like he's a playoff Red Sox

It's disappointing to watch guys like Weeks and Cruz in the outfield, they have no business being there.

Finns while Cruz sucks playing right-field, at least he has major league experience. Weeks is a veteran with no major league outfield experience. All I could do was shake my head when I heard them try to justify Weeks in the outfield by saying he has high school experience...dude is over 30...we talkin bout high freakin school?!?!?!

Tai feels right on schedule...finally healthy and he's gradually figuring it out...he'll settle in

He's had less than 20 starts?

I really have no idea where Pax's command has gone..his last start he was literally on..then off..then on :lol

Well, he kept the faith in Brad Miller last year when we all were really down on him, so that worked out. I don't know if that'll be the case with Ackley though. He's been here too long and sucked the whole time almost.

Yeah, other than a stretch here or there...Really thought Ack finally put it together this year
