Heard a great discussion this morning with John Clayton and Jeff Nelson on 710. I'll share some of what I heard mixed in with my opinion.
M's have 59 quality starts and only 43 wins. That's crazy!
With Bedard on the DL, he probably isn't good trade bait at this point, let's hope Beavan can keep on rolling to up his value. He would be a very high quality 5th starter, but when you have an amazing core of 2 top of the rotation guys with 2 very solid 3rd and 4th starters (Vargas, Fister), M's really should look to trade Beavan for a few Minor league bats.
Apparently Wedge really likes certain things he sees out of Pegeuro to justify his playing time at this point. Media is starting to pick up on the fact that we all want Halman and Carp to see more at bats and sometimes that heat is enough to try something new...See Ichiro?
I just don't know why he sees certain things in Pegeuro that he might not see or want to explore with Halman. I think he just doesn't want to send Pegeuro down.
