Bevell's gotta go, man.
You can't play that conservatively when you're getting dominated on the line of scrimmage. I really think he wanted to run a ball control offense more than he wanted to score.
To see them keep running the ball on 1st down, down the middle, into the open arms of the Rams D-line... We averaged 2.8 yards per rush.
The ONE time in the first half we start playing fast out of the empty set we drive the whole way down the field. And then of course start running and getting stuffed again in the RZ and have to settle for a field goal.
There's a reason we are always living and dying on this comeback attempts, and it's because we only play to score when we're losing. Otherwise, we play to run the clock and punt.

Yup, that's the only coach they don't want.. stuck with him, play calling was so frustrating to watch yesterday

the worst thing about bevell is his refusal to attack the 1st down marker on 1st and 2nd down

I need to rewatch the game, Shead seemed overall good but he did give up on plays

Nah defense was great. Imo lane should be the every down cb though. I mean didnt they take him off the gunner role because he was supposed to be the starting RCB

Oh I see. I didn't know he was supposed to be the #2 corner. I kind of like him as the NFL's best nickel.
We really do need that big, playmaking #2 though. Can't Maxwell get cut and come back already?
