82 large and a 2 year probation that could lead to a lengthy suspension.

why it took so long to make a decision is stupid.
The fine is the highest any professional tennis player has ever received. The previous highest fine was $48,000 against Jeff Tarango in the 1990s. Williams was already fined $10,000 from the U.S. Tennis Association shortly after the incident, which is the highest the organization could fine a player on site.

There are a total of four Grand Slam tournaments that Williams must be on her best behavior for over the next two years: Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and the U.S. Open. The Australian Open is the next tournament on the schedule and occurs January 18-31, 2010. Williams has yet to respond to the judgment.

It's about time they put her in her place , she has a personality like DeAngelo Hall

Stupid how? It was just recently assigned to Bill Babcock who is the Grand Slam administrator. She was fined the $10k on site which is themaximum amount they could have fined her at the moment. They waited until after the bulk of the ATP/WTA season was completed before assigning it and ruling onit.

Fine is justified.

I liked whoever's idea it was that she be forced to play in more smaller tournaments as punishment.
