Assuming the worst is happening and knowing the worst can happen aren't the same thing.

We are simply telling people that don't believe the worst can happen that they shouldn't give any human that much infallible credit.

That is all. It has nothing to do with trust this and that. It is as simple as a human being can make a mistake.
