I am in no way say we are winning the west, or even hinting that we could contend, but I am NOT sold on the Dodgers. It pains me to say this, but they mighthave the best lineup in the National league. But pitching and defense win championships. Their outfield is awful defensively if you think about it. Manny ishorrible. Kemp has been horrible. Ethier is solid. Furcal has looked shaky at short And their pitching? Well their bullpen isnt great....and their starters areaverage. Does their offense make up for this?
I know they are still going to win the west. But I just dont think aside from hitting they are really that good.

The Dodgers will always be in games because of their offense. 1 thru 8, they're dangerous.
I still don't understand why the Giants didn't make a push for Manny when they had the chance. We're proving to be a good home team (knock on wood)and Manny would have been a middle of the order bat that we desperately need on the road where we can't hit for *#+@.

Fred Lewis gets the worst reads on balls. He breaks SOOOOO late everytime. Both those balls are caught by Bonds.

I think it's going to take Winn's injury for Bochy to finally realize Schierholtz should be playing more often. God forbid he give Lewis a day off oncein a while.

I counted it out and his next two starts are Tuesday against the Cubs and Sunday against the Dodgers.
