I kinda liked that. Actually working for your money was dope.
Getting home before curfew.
Meeting dudes at the arcade at a certain time.
NPCs would actually come out in the morning, go about their day. Go shopping, pop open an umbrella when it starts raining...then head home when they were done.The world was so immersive.

i remember playin this game on DC.

the fighting system in this game was amazing as well. you could learn moves from scrolls and whatnot

Yeah, Shenmue is in my top ten of all-time games, and without a doubt the best game on Dreamcast. I would love to see the story get a 2nd sequel, but first Istill need to finish Shemue II, lol.

I never played Shenmue 1 and Shenmue 2 was AMAZING. I was awed with the amount of stuff you could do in the game. The fighting was simple yet fun. I was madthat the game left off as a cliff hanger.
