But I don't think any of you realize how embeded firearms are in a very large part of people's culture in this country.
Nah, we get it. We just don't think "It's too hard" or "it's too late" is a good enough reason to chalk it up

Thanks man, appreciate it brother.Sorry to hear that man. Hopefully both our dads pull through.
Be better, America.

incredibleI looked up the top 50 dangerous countries on the planet. The only countries that are more dangerous than the US are ones that have been destroyed by civil wars, drug wars, and military coups. What an amazing standard to hold ourselves to
Listen man what happened was a tragedy and I wish it would never happen but to claim you are very likely to die like this in America to the extent you would rather visit or I've in a country that has rampant Zika is insane.
For all the senseless death we have in America, it's still statisticlly one of safest places in the world to live.

I'll say it again, and this often gets lost with people when mass shootings occur
To suggest that stricter gun laws will obliviate mass shootings such as last night's is pure fantasy and naive. The idea is that if you make it harder for people to get guns on a micro level, you'll aid in dealing with day to day crime, and hopefully on a macro level, 30 years from now, the rate of mass shootings will decrease by x amount of percentage and hopefully in that time, America's relationship with guns is healthier
Banning assault weapons would go a long way towards helping the problem. Yeah, there are assault weapons already out there, but the reduction of supply will make it much harder for someone with ill intentions to get one.
Poverty has a lot to do with it though.
America can go a long way in improving the gun violence problem by solving the poverty problem.
Not trying to downplay this stat, but what's the population size in those countries in comparison to the US?
