But why is the Government to blame? I agree with the point you are trying to make and that we live in a capitalistic society.

They set the price as the price thats as high as they think we will pay. Isnt that greedy too? Every company and business and person does it to some extent. Sneakers are just trendy right now, it will die out in time.
nike/JB could fix all of this buy making more, but then they would take a loss and at the end of the day they only care about making $ too. They could care less whether you personally get what you want, as long as they sell their product, they are happy

Mom & Pop shops almost ALWAYS sell at a higher than retail price. Both for early releases and even sometimes after the release date. I live in the northeast and I know for a fact that spots in north jersey (Newark, Elizabeth, JC) sell kicks over retail well after RD. Downtown Brooklyn (Fulton Mall) does the same thing. Matter fact, I was in Elizabeth a few weeks ago and dude had a pair of red foams...I asked him how much and he said 400. I looked at him confused, and then he started beasting on me for asking to get them at retail...no bs.
My point is, no one ever seems to blame the retailers that are doing the EXACT SAME THING as resellers, but making MUCH MUCH HIGHER PROFITS! These mom & pop stores are getting the kicks are wholesale prices and flipping for resell prices!
I personally have spent over retail on kicks three times in my life (and 1 was an accident). If I can't get em on RD, then I move on to the next release or I wait...Usually, no eff that, ALWAYS a deal comes around...just gotta be patient. But it seems like the retailers sometimes get free passes...and they shouldn't.

Any kind of resellers should go to h@ll.
The retail for kicks are already not cheap and
Yet these greedy people want to make their
Money with that. I remember when tamagotchis
Were hyped and sold for 10 times higher price in
hong kong.
this reselling phenomena is a cancer of our
Consuming system.
Its ok to resell shoes at higher price if they are
Out of stock in regular stores.
But nowadays these resellers just buy up
Many stores from stores to make it quite
Impossible for many to buy kicks at
regular retail price. Also the retailers have
Clear return and warranty policies whhich
Many resellers dont have!

Others are just trying to make a buck
