Could someone tell me exactly what a co-op is? Would I be better off working there than at niketown, when it comes down to money, as welll as recommendations and such?
A co-op is a 5-6 month internship with a company. You are treated as a full-time employee and are paid entry level money. They are very competitive, but theway to go if you want a good job coming out of college. I made over $20,000 in 5 months last summer/fall doing a co-op with a big name company. I was incharge of roughly $5million a week in ice cream sales (to give you an idea of responsibilities).
On the other hand, college makes it hard to buy Jordan's. State College is far away from every shoe spot, and I'm forced to buy everything online. Ohwell. The weather also sucks for 8 months out of the year and I don't live here during the summer. I only bring beaters to school because wearing themout to a party/bars is just stupid and as I said the weather sucks.
