I watched the NFL draft this past weekend, as did many of us....
When the Jets got on the clock I was screaming for them to take Ingram or DeCastro but naturally we took Quinton Coples (using this an example, I'll leaving the debate about the pick for the draft thread). Right away, you heard about the scouting report - Size, talent, ability, but he has a questionable motor, that he doesn't always play hard.
How many times have we heard that before?
And so I got to wondering, which "questionable motor" guys that were drafted relatively high in the NFL actually panned out?
Teams continue to take risks on guys like these (Coples, Kentwan Balmer) but how many actually play hard on a consistent basis when they get to the league...
Not sure if attitude questions/character concerns fall under the same umbrella.
