1. Get Windows 7 Beta, burn it to a disc, then utilize Bootcamp. As much as Mac claims to be fully compatible, its not, and if you absolutely hate Mac, you canstill use Windows.

2. If you'll be doing anything computer related in college, repeat Step 1 with your favourite version of Linux.

3. Get useful applications. Firefox, VLC, Vuze, etc.

4. Customize that mofo.

Whats with the surge in Mac purchase threads lately. Is there a laptop cash for clunkers going on where you trade in old cpu's laptops for new ones

or he could just own two computers, like many people do including me. i own one laptop for school/liesure and another for my djing. so someone inmy case might want a pc for school and then a mac for his djing purposes.

and we both know i meant that on a pesonal usage basis only. many people have redundancy within their electronic catalog because of their career.
