This simply isn't true. Outside of the wealth of information (good and bad,) and the markets, the deepweb provides a method of communication for people who would otherwise not be able to communicate to the outside world to express their true opinions and information.

The Arab Spring, Occupy Movement, etc would not have been the same without it.

i hate having a curious mind. every time one of those 'disturbing/scary' movie threads would come up, i would just google them and read the plot summary, but took some solace in knowing that they were just movies and were fake

but this talk about the deep web and the stuff thats on there makes me queasy. googled that dafu love story and really wish i hadnt. i really hate the internet sometimes
