Cut hair in a barbershop. He's good and the people who get their haircuts from him go back so its obvious he's good, i think he needs to get "broken in" per say.

Any advice for him?

P.S. I'm not that barber

Have him cut hair at his spot to get a feel for what it might be like?

Meh, it depends on whether he wants to make a profession of it. If he does, then he'll have to go to a shop eventually. If not, he's good with cutting at the spot and not having to pay booth fees.

Probably afraid to deal with the unpleasable crazies. Besides if he keeps it as a side thing he can pick and choose his clientele. He also is his own boss and cut how he wants too.
