You gotta be an idiot of epic proportions to think the cut/fit of that shirt looks good. Look at the cuff/ribbing at the end of the sleeves. It looks irregular to say the least. Look at the length of the shirt on the full kit photo... It looks unusually short like it shrunk in the wash. You go to throw the ball inbounds & your belly & chest will be showing... I mean look at the collar & how disheveled it looks. The distance from the top button to the next looks irregular too. The whole shirts looks like it was from the 1920s or something...

Ok look I don't like this one either but god forbid a company reference the club's history right? I'd rather have the team look like they're out of the club's glory days instead of looking like a page in the adidas teamwear catalogue
 
Referencing the clubs history is one thing but the properly manufacturing of a shirt is another matter. That shirt's proportions are off & looks like a factory irregular. If you can't see that then I guess you can't see that...

tbf it only looks noticeably short on the tall dude all the way on the left.  Sorta short on the other guys now that you point it out.  How are you gonna rag on Umbro for something like that though?  The company that went out of their way to make their kits on a precise chest size sizing system only a few years ago?  I wouldn't call them out on this stuff until I see some of the new ones in person, I myself am a little skeptical of this "revived" Umbro so we'll see.  I loved their kits from a few years back, basically until they lost their England sponsorship.  If you didn't see the excellence in those kits I don't know what to tell you, they were top notch in every respect.  You would stan them too if you owned a few of those, it got addicting for me

I'm not arguing whether or not they made good kits years ago. That's neither here nor there. They're not even the same company founded by the Humphrey brothers or even the same as when Nike owned them from 2007 to 2012.

They're now owned by Kenneth Cole's brother. You can't compare what they're doing now to any previous eras. Quite frankly I'm not impressed so far. I got some New York Cosmos Umbro stuff for me & my son at their shop when we went to see a game in 2013 & it was horribly made. It was ill fitting & the seams were all screwed up. We didn't find out how bad they were until we got back home to Baltimore (as we couldn't try them on at the team store)...
 
Maybe Umbro needs a couple of plastic bottles pressed, melted, and then threaded into the jerseys to make psk like them. Maybe Umbro should stop using real material.

Oh, those Cosmos Nike kits right now aren't anything to admire either buddy. They're trash too - No one nor does any company care about how the Cosmo jersey's are made. They get the college/high school quality kits. Terrible example.

Doesn't matter who owns Umbro. Nike, Kenneth Cole, Rocawear, Gucci, Whatever - they've been making their own type of kits their way for a decade now. The marketing might have changed, the quality hasn't.

Get your son an Everton kit psk, then let me know how you feel.

You don't even understand the statement your making... You honestly think they came up with it strictly for marketing purposes? That hysterically laughable. No company is going to invest a couple of billion in overhauling they way the design & manufacture their goods for marketing purposes only. Think about what your saying.

I guess you didn't realize they didn't "market" their massive "green" undertaking when it began in the early 90s... I think it was '93 to be exact.

It wasn't widely known just what they were doing until 2009 or 2010 or so when they started licensing their green tech. You really should read up & fully understand topics before you spout off nonsensical posts.

If you don't like Nike kits, fine. I don't like Umbro parachute pants shorts & the crap fan ware they make but to say Nike's green initiative is simply a marketing ploy is just plain stupid beyond all... Just stupid for the sake of being stupid.

I'm with @psk2310  on this one. 

Even if it was a marketing ploy, its a positive one. Even if all the bells and whistles on the boots are exaggerated and overhyped (which is logical to conclude, because its Nike), it always starts with something true and something real. If it was a cash grab, why not produce more units? I speak fluent Cynicism and its a stretch to call it "ploy" more than just simple hype Nike hype. Hype and ploy are not one and the same. 
 
We looked okay in all fairness, Everton were much the stronger side in the 1st half, but I'd say we had a very good 2nd.

Can't take too much from friendlies though, of course.

Everton were missing a lot of there main players (Barkley, Baines, Jagielka, Mirallas) and we changed 9 of the 11 players for the 2nd half. We looked sharp though. 16th of August will be a whole new ball game.

Go to your sons jerseys, check the label - what does it say? it says - NikeBetterWorld.com. What does that imply? What are they trying to market? Is Nike making this world better? :lol

That's a marketing ploy that's specifically targeted towards suburban fathers and mothers (like you) to buy their products and feel some level of social self gratification whenever you buy Nike products. It makes you feel good psk? Doesn't it? It's made you feel so good that you come into this thread and literally promote the fact that Nike is using 13 plastic bottles per kit.

Of course it's not 100% solely fixated on deceiving the public like they have with you; there are many benefits to using plastic bottle "technology". It's cheaper and it's intertwining recycling with innovation. it's a win-win for Nike. It's a brilliant marketing scheme - But it's a scheme nonetheless that's more fixated on marketing rather than truly making this world a better planet.

I don't know what else to say, debating with you is like arguing with my father's old Italian friends who will never change their mind about cars - they always stand up for Cadillac and GM. It's no use, you're in that specific age group where changing your mind about what you've worked so hard in your life to believe in; or just showing you a different perspective is - useless.
