My synopsis:
Spoiler [+]
The film is about the desolation of a movie actor and (proverbially) finding a change in the monotony of his daily routine by spending time with his daughter. Really, the film carries that theme to the core and can become excruciatingly dry. It's unfortunate because the talents of Dorff and Fanning are grossly wasted and there's little to no payoff at the end of the film. Be forewarned, the trailer may try to suck you into watching it, but it is no Lost in Translation, and you get nothing more from the movie than you get from the trailer. Coppola is a solid director, but the story of the film combined with her style is just too painful to sit through.
