people are out of their minds if they think lebron is about to get more MVP awards.

Bro...Legacies are CEMENTED by the rings you win.  Especially early on in his career.  If Lebron wins 4 rings in Miami, a lot will be forgotten.  What's the main objective in the NBA?  To WIN championships.  This is not like a 37 year old Gary Payton signing on w. the Heat...this is not like a over-the-hill Mitch Richmond singing on with the Lakers, etc etc....that being said, how's his legacy going to look if he stayed in Cleveland and didn't win anything?  He'll go down with the likes of Pat Ewing, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, etc.  All great players, but what's the first thing people talk about when discussing those guys in conversation?  This was the ideal time for Lebron to leave.  He's in his prime, mid-20's, and he knows this is the best chance he has to win NBA titles.  I don't see how this is the easy way out.  His expectations for winning are through the roof and there is an immense amount of pressure on him to deliver.

WHUT?!
There is more pressure on Lebron to win multiple titles in Miami and expectations are MUCH greater, than they would be anywhere else if he signed.  There is no getting around that.
Lebron would have had to take on more responsibility in Cleveland, Chicago, or NY, and winning a championship would have been a MUCH greater challenge. There is no getting around that.
Can't agree with that at all.  Lebron signs with Cleveland, Chi, or NY...there would be expectations to win a championship or two....however, due to who he's playing with in Miami, the pressure/expectations are 10x what they would be if he were somewhere else.  If he doesn't leave Miami with at least 3-4 championships, people will question this move and probably speculate if he couldn't have done the same thing in another city.  Actually, scratch that 3-4 championship estimation....kinda like with the Yankees, he (along with the Heat) are going to be EXPECTED to win a championship every year that their "big 3) are together....When you have Bosh, Wade, and Lebron on one roster, there are no excuses.  I don't care if he was playing in Mike's shadow, in NYC, or in Cleveland...this is a totally different situation, and he's got the weight of the world on his shoulders at this point due to how everything went down and who he is now playing for.
But it's not just on LeBron to bring championships to the Heat. The pressure is spread out evenly. LeBron doesn't have to step his game up now, he's got two other guys with him who can completely cover his %!% if he stinks it up. He said (not literally) "I'm not strong enough to carry a team on my shoulders, I'm going to get help. The best help I can find." Is that not taking the easy route? It's like using cheat codes

I can see where you're coming from, but I actually agree with DoubleJs and I'll take it one step further and say that LeBron James has more
pressure to win than Chris Bosh and obviously Dwayne Wade since he already has a ring. LeBron James is fresh off of an hour long ESPN
special where he announces his decision to play with a team. That ALONE puts him at the forefront of peoples minds and of course people
are going to need the validation of rings now. Never once was Dwayne Wade or Chris Bosh heralded as the King of the NBA. Hell, your casual
basketball fan probably doesn't know Chris Bosh from his elbow, but I guarantee you he knows who LeBron James is.

The bottom line is with ALL the hype LeBron has received and press he's commanded, HE HAS TO WIN. The same cannot be said for the other two.
There's an immense amount of pressure to win in the next 2 years. If the Miami Heat don't...it will be really ugly.

LeBron will never be the guy. I wish he would have tried to win it by himself as ‘the guy.’

It's kind of hard to say. I hate him cause of his arrogance and defiance of where he's from. Still believe he is the best in the league in regards to physical attributes and athleticism but he doesn't have the heart, mindset, and mid-range game to be the GREATEST player, not while Kobe is still playing, and not with the rapid rate at which Durant is improving. Watching how these new generation of players conduct themselves in regards to being competitors, I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but a player like Kobe should be celebrated. He IS closest thing in this league to Jordan, and along with a few other guys, they keep us connected to the era of the NBA we love. So for that reason we should all hate LeBron because his athleticism and physical attributes should have led us fans into another golden age of NBA competitiveness, but his heart aint big enough for that. And us as NBA spectators who value the sport of competition, we all lose out, and that's probably the second reason I hate him

I'm sorry...but u Cleveland fans kill me.  If you valued the sport of competition, you wouldn't have accepted Lebron acting like a $$%%%#* on the sidelines making a fool of himself....if you valued the sport of competition, you would have called dude out for being a %%+$% and refusing to shake hands up until this season, and it goes on and on....If Lebron re-signed and trades for Bosh and possibly CP3 went through, would you be singing the same tune about the "value of competion?"  I think not.  Right now, it's all about the hate towards the man that the city has and the humble pie that you all are now eating after not realizing for 7 years how you REALLY looked to everyone else in the sports world.

Real talk, I hope this comes off as sympathetic as possible but +*@+ you and your wall of text. +*@+ you for having this "Buckwild" from Flavor Of Love-esque moment right now.

Understanding the height of what is going to potentially happen to the city of Cleveland and all surrounding areas softens a smidgen of my heart but for the Cavs fans on NT and any other message board who was so high horse, arrogant, so regular season macho feeling, so "We run this league" feeling type dudes, this is great. I LOVE IT.

I hate your username dog and I could give a +*@+ if you wrote up the cure for AIDS, Cancer, and receding hairlines in your sideline-to-sideline paragraphs, that %$@+ would not get read. I anticipate your egotistical and bad #+$ related posts soon. I hope you express as much confidence towards Mo Williams & Antawn Jamison as you did for Bron Bron

Lebron is the reigning 2-time MVP so he is the best player on the heats roster right now hes gonna follow those 2 MVPs up with another this year...He will be the main reason why the are going to win championships cuz he is a do it all kind of player why do u all think dwade and bosh were so happy they didn't wanna play against lebron

while all u dudes are hating on Lebron for leaving his "home" if yall knew anything about the game I believe Wilt Chamberlain the Hall of Famer/one of the greatest centers to ever play the game you all may or may not know of him

but he played for the 76ers at the beginning of his career which is also in his hometown of Philly for 7 years before he asked to be traded to LA because he couldn't win in Philly but he went on to play with a team who already had 2 HALL OF FAMERS on there roster Jerry West and Elgin Baylor where he went on to win a finals MVP and 2 NBA titles but since everybody hates Lebron thats different I guess
ohwell.gif

If you were Lebron would you really pass up playing with wade and bosh...you play the game to win the regular season doesn't matter playoffs due Celtics proved that Cleveland brought in Wally Szerbiak, Eric Snow, Ben Wallace, Donyell Marshall, Larry Hughes, David Wesley, Mo Williams, Shaq at 38, Jamison at 34 but he's supposed to be the man and win against the elite teams like Spurs, LA, Boston, Orlando with those rosters get the !@&% outta here he did what he could and if Lebron and Kobe switched places it would be the same results I guarantee it I wanna see the "GREAT" Kobe go to the finals and win rings with those guys

Lebron is in the right place right now he's got another superstar in Wade and a really really good player in Bosh he's no superstar imo, he's got president who's gonna make moves in Pat Riley yall should really appreciate the fact that we get to watch these athletes do what they do everyday...as a fan of sports I'm glad I got/get to see Kobe, Lebron, Wade, Duncan, KG, Jordan, Barkley, Shaq, Penny, Pippen, etc. what those guys do every nite is truly amazing

your whole post made you sound like a little girl defending your idol.......like hes one of the jonas boys or some ***!...

lebron is dumb. hes never gonna have more titles than wade. i bet 2 days later that dumb %*% was like "what the @%%# did i do??? wade is always gonna have more rings than me!" dude is prolly slow as @%%#

dude was like the only one that looked depressed in that circus press conference introducing them to the heat fans.

he could have been the greatest player of all time...

@ Gutta

You were right on myTO those DoubleJs, they embraced and defended all of his tomfoolery for 7 years and now all of a sudden want to do a 180, nah.

I'm sure there is a generational gap between players right now, D12 supported Bron, but I'm sure that if you asked some of the older vets in the league or past players they would have opinions more in the line of Barkley, Miller, etc.

With every decision, there are going to be detractors and supporters....I wouldn't be shocked if it's more 50/50 than anything.  If any current NBA player is *****ing about this, then you're defeated before you even set foot on the floor.  Anything can happen once the ball is tipped, and wins are earned....not given.  Step your game up and take it to these guys to show that they STILL have a long road ahead of them before they are "crowned" anything.

No. If he would have stayed in Cleveland and won one championship built around him, we would have put him on Mount Rushmore ... LeBron is the Alex Rodriguez. It is still Dwyane’s team. Between LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, one of those guys has to sacrifice and to me it will have to be LeBron James because it is Dwyane Wade’s team.
Otis Smith:
I thought he was, I guess, more of a competitor.
Chris Webber:
I’m never mentioning him and Jordan in the same sentence ever again.
Charles Barkley:
LeBron will never be the guy. I wish he would have tried to win it by himself as ‘the guy.’

There's a common denominator with all the guys you posted....

Is it the fact that like LeBron they don't have a championship ring? Or is it the fact like unlike LeBron they never jumped ship with two other existing superstars? I'm confused ...
