Three-1-Zero's tape was pretty dope Kobe Bryant joint was nice. Tiron's Ketchup was also dope Still Never Happy gets mad play. SoCal's really doinit right now love to see this. Not to mention Pac Div, Dom, and Blu! I've been playin all these dudes non stop

2010 was a good year for us and it ain't even over

even though I don't rock wit' Jay Rock or Nipsey, I couldn't NOT post them seeing how they get madd love. 

Disappointments:

From West Side with Love--Beats were flames as usual, but ya man's lyrics were subpar

And he got outshined on dang near every feature

Mstrd-AS MUST AS I WAS IN LOVE WITH KETCHUP, I was lightweight "stanning" over the follow up. What do I get? Emo lyrics about girls over average beats

And this hurt cuz TiRON was my FAVORITE up and coming rapper, regardless of region. 

Overly Dedicated-(and save it, I've been flamed enough via Twitter) #NT HYPED UP THIS PROJECT LIKE IT WAS THE NEXT ALL EYEZ ON ME, but I think dude is boring

.  His lyrics are GREAT, but his flow just doesn't grab my attention. He's hella cool though (reached out over Twitter) so I'm definitely pulling for him.  I may give this another listen just cuz of his personality.  Not cocky at all, even though he literally has the internet goin' nuts.

Cheap by Nature--He came so correct with El Prez on Perfect Strangers but his solo project was buns

Surprises:

Animal Style!--Beats were gorgeous and he stepped his flows up.  His last tape wasn't that hot to me but I spoke to him and he said on this project he worked with some diff producers (if you ain't up on Jansport J and LAUSD you betta get familiar)

Pistols and Palm Trees--same as Animal Style, though he got WAY more bars than El Prez.  He's been touring though so I don't think he's gonna be a secret for much longer. For some reason, I think he may affiliated with Young Money cuz he always name droppin' Wayne.  Anyway, even tho he used to be in a gang, that doesn't dominate his subject matter....which is the main reason why I like him

Co$$-This right now is my favorite mixtape, and is now my favorite up and coming LA rapper. 

Lyricism, flow, production, you name it. 

Off the Clock--dude has NIIIIICCCEEEE bars....good to balance to the other LA hip hop.  He's more conscious than the others.  He works heavily with Jansport J. 


The rest I haven't listened to enough to give a review...I just DL'd Convinced but I'm hoping it'll be good.  I also wanted to give Ayomari a spin, but never got around to it.  Even in terms of LA rappers, he kinda at the bottom of the totem pole but I don't think that'll be for more much longer.  I knew about C-San but again, forgot to DL. Kinda wanted some new U-N-I this year but them foolies jivin'
