What strategies do you use?
For the most part, I look at pitching matchups vs. how much run production a team averages. Or if a team is in a slump/streak with regards to scoring runs. Alot of it is gut feeling almost too.
Take a team like Seattle for instance. They don't score many runs at all, and also lead the league in one run games. So you know that if you have a guylike Felix, Bedard, or Washburn pitching, the liklehood of more than 8 runs in the game being scored is slim. (Seattle won't score much, but those pitcherswon't give up much either. On top of the fact that the game will probably be close and given the other to circumstances you're looking at a low scoringaffair).
Another indicator I use, but not as much, is the trends stats. They tell you how well the team has fared recently and can help in figuring out with hard statswho's hot and who's not. Same goes for pitchers opposing a specific team. You just gotta play with them and work out your own system I guess, but toobe completely honest, I do much better when I just pick based on instincts and a full hour of Baseball Tonight.

what made you take the under? that matchup was david price vs. gavin floyd... price has been serving up batting practice this year and gavin floydisn't a consisent pitcher.. he's pitched well as of late though.. the over was a better play IMO.. yea im kinda salty lol
