No. He lied and said said he was supposed to play the character James Franco is playing.

Franco said that's not true at all, but they did take some inspiration from Riff Raff's music videos.

I grew up on Korine's work, and seeing him do something glossy like this, which seemingly walks disneyfied actresses into the fire, only speaks to the type of work he does. Dude is a monster... A loving, trolling monster.
