I mean I really see no reason to keep that a secret if she was and to go as far as to call her Michelle just really baffling to me like it's going to be some "oh ****" revelation
Then again this is Flash Thompson in the film so who knows? I feel like all these changes are done just to be "different" and seem unnecessary.

That just doesn't work with the guy they casted, I mean it barely worked with Garfield because dude looks like the cool guy that is more popular than the jock, it's unbelievable seeing him get bullied. In this case, Holland looks like the jock in comparison to that dude.
