Funny that's all ppl remember from SM2, but eh. Outside of Ock, movie wasn't all that great.

Nah I remember the final fight scene and the bank robbery too. Train fight was just really good. Other good parts, I try to ignore snuggle tooth but the GG stuff wasn't bad either.

Ock was a strong villain, he definitely is a big part of why the movie is great.

He practically makes the movie. Not MJ complaining about plays and ****, and Peter magically losing his powers and retaining them without any explanation.

From the cartoon and comics I thought they were going one way but it never got an explanation. I think Raimi said it was a confidence thing. **** was stupid it got no explanation.

Doc Ock makes the movie the same way The Joker makes TDK.

It did get an explanation, not to the molecular or scientific level but it's just the struggle to be Peter and live a normal life or be Spiderman and ruin Peters life. It was a mental thing, in a way yeah confidence but that was a given and implied.

In the cartoon, his DNA was just mutating further I believe and he turned into the man-spider :lol

BTW, is that series on DVD yet? I seriously need to rewatch them.

Yeahhhh, it wasn't good. The Spiderman-No more thing could've been handled better.

Don't think they are, might be on netflix.

Yeah that's how it was explained. Then the other time he tried to rid himself of his powers and then turned in to Man-Spider.

Yeah in a thematic way it was explained but it never was addressed verbally I think. Mind you I was just watching parts of the movie on tv :lol

I thought it was done well and made sense. He couldn't balance his life as a hero and as Peter, it doesn't help that it kept snaggletooth away from him every time he becomes Spidey. It's also evident when he starts losing his powers after he kept disappointing MJ. He was struggling if being Spidey was really what he wanted. So he had to choose and that is why he gave up being Spidey, he became happy as Peter and excelled in school and it was his plan to get MJ. Then MJ getting kidnapped kicked in his powers again because it forced him to save her. It was an inner self struggle that he eventually conquered.

Sooooo basically snaggletooth caused him to lose his powers because that's the only thing he has going on. :lol .... Only good part of all that was the conversations between him and Aunt May

The main reason yeah, well if your just going to pick and choose what you read and be overly biased anyways then no point in discussing it further. I mean Peters love for Gwen pretty much ran his life in ASM2 as well but it is stupid in SM2.

Now queue lamekillas with his signature response that ASM2 is a masterpiece and everyone who prefers SM2 are just idiots who convinced themselves to like it because there is absolutely no reason to like it and not like ASM2. :rolleyes

Like I've been saying before, I never liked the film like most from when I first saw it, and I already claimed that I didn't really care for TASM1, soooo where's the bias? I'm not bringing SM2 up. It's others. Don't blame me.

And it's pretty much agreed that the romance in the ASM-verse outshines Tobey and Dunst, soooooo yeah. Having MJ being the focal point of the Spiderman No More arc was lame.

If there is any problem I have with the film, it's Max. They could've just had him mad at Oscorp. The spiderman obsession was weird. Along with wanting to see more of Harry and the scene with Gwen announced she was going to London. That scene could've been cut shorter.

Lol at Peter losing his powers in the SM2. What his organic webs dried up? :rolleyes :lol

Everybody wants to act like SM2 was this super awesome movie but it's not. I own the movie and watched it a million times and it's one of those movies that got outdated quick. Even with all it's villains, dancing Peter and sandman killed uncle Ben plot spiderman 3 is a more action packed and overall better film than 2

Sandman > Doc Ock
The mid air fight scene between Peter and Harry > every fight scene in SM2

And Spiderman 3 has it's flaws, TONS of em

can someone explain to me who that guy was that appears at the end and talks to harry. I'm aware its the same dude that pops up in the first movie at the end also am i right?

His name is Mr Fiers I believe. In the movies he was referred to as The Man In The Shadows . In a spiderman novel, he's responsible for bringing together the Sinister 6.
