Sri Lanka under attack.

You see it. Another radical Islamic attack on Catholics nonetheless and it barely gets a peep as seen by this thread. While one guy shot up a mosque and Islamophobia accusations are thrown from everyone and virtue signaling up the ***. It's a joke.

cant cudgel white people or Christianity as a narrative, its not as sexy apparently.

Denmark's Richest Billionaire, Anders Holch Povlsen, Loses Three Children In Sri Lanka Attacks

Among the almost 300 victims in yesterday’s terror attack in Sri Lanka are three of Anders Holch Povlsen children, confirms company spokesperson Jesper Stubkier.

“Unfortunately we can confirm the reports”, Stubkier confirmed in an e-mail but declined further comments.

BESTSELLER

The Danish billionaire and his family reportedly were staying at the five-star Shangri La Hotel in Colombo, which was among the targets that included multiple hotels and churches. The New York Times reports that the Sri Lankan government blames National Thowheeth Jama’ath, a little-known radical Islamic terror organization, for the attacks.

Four days ago, an Instagram account that reportedly belongs to Holch Povlsen oldest daughter posted a picture of her three younger siblings, shoulder to shoulder, overlooking Sri Lankan waters with the caption “3x small vacation bosses”.

Holch Povlsen’s $7.9 billion fortune stems primarily from his nearly $4 billion (sales) retailer Bestseller, founded by his parents in 1975 in the small Danish town of Ringkobing when they opened their first store. The company today peddles apparel under eleven brand names, including Jack & Jones, Only and Vero Moda. Holch Povlsen took over at 28 and is today the sole owner.

Outside Bestseller, Holch Povlsen has also managed to build up a sizeable portfolio of tech and online retail investments, including significant stakes in Zalando, ASOS and Klarna. He also owns more than 1 percent of all the land in Scotland.

Anders Holch Povlsen, 46, and his wife had four children.

Barely gets a peep?

All of this isn't going to end, until people learn to walk away from religion period. You do not need a religion, in order to know a deity. People created religions around what they thought that some god wanted, in order to please that god. So now you have constant wars and strife, because of what people think that some god wants.

There is no greater example than how christianity ran rampant through the world. It wasn't due to enlightenment, is was due to force and money. It was used to enslave and then not uplift, and if you look at all religions, they all roll the same way, through fear.

Barely gets a peep. NT is as left leaning as ever. It doesn't fit the narrative.

Let's compare:

Man it was Easter Sunday. Im atheist and still was out and about all weekend, some of us have lives my guy

Regardless, religion in general is poop be it Islam or Christianity.

RIP to the hundreds of Sri Lankan lives lost, couldnt imagine losing my family members to a cult of zealots :smh:

How is it getting swept under the rug (in general)? It's literally the main/one of the main headlines on every major news site/newspaper. Don't use a 2 page thread on NT to make huge, false generalizations

Anyway, the incompetence that allowed this attack is shocking.

The confidential security memo laid it all out: names, addresses, phone numbers, even the times in the middle of the night that one suspect would visit his wife.

In the days leading up to the devastating suicide attacks that killed nearly 300 people in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, the country’s security agencies had been closely watching a secretive cell of the National Thowheeth Jama’ath, a little-known radical Islamist organization that security officials in Sri Lanka now say carried out the attacks.

The security agencies had even been given specific intelligence on April 11 that the group, also known by the spelling National Thowheed Jama’ath, was planning to bomb Catholic churches. India appeared to have shared warnings with them about the group more than a week before then. And Sri Lankan security officials knew as far back as January that radical Islamists in the country, possibly tied to the group, had stockpiled weapons and detonators.

Within hours of when three churches and three hotels were bombed, Sri Lankan security services seized at least 24 suspects, implying that they knew exactly where this group had been operating and were quickly able to locate its safe houses.

Why the security agencies failed to act before the bombings — and why some top officials, including the country’s own prime minister, didn’t even know about the intelligence that the agencies possessed — are enormous questions that have created a crisis in the Sri Lankan government.

i wish i was this naive...life was more simple.

You calling me naive?

I haven't seen much of a change in peoples' political leanings here. Folks might just be more demonstrative about their beliefs because of the sh*t show occurring at the WH.

Maybe you just have a harder time seeing the forest for the trees? And maybe still a little hurt that you got bounced from the political thread.

Think there’s a better chance of humans uniting against a higher form that we have yet to encounter. We are bad to each other. All about numbers and zero with reason

These idiots out here can’t agree to get vaccinated against disease, and you think that some higher life form will get them to get smart? Not me.

Dunno why humans have to constantly be evil to each other.
This. Dogmatic ideologies are a cancer on humanity. Doesn't matter if they're religious, political, or secular.

I know I'm speaking to a limited audience, but if anyone reading this ever has thoughts of harming anyone else for the aforementioned reasons please try your methods out on yourself first.

It isn't human beings that are evil, it is those who are thirsty for power through their beliefs. It is what they begin to believe in that will make them feel as if they need to spread their beliefs. In order uplift, you do not need to oppress. Yet this is the method of choice throughout all of these religions. Human beings are fine without such influences. Taking a look at Rome, it was once a polytheist society. Once Christianity came on the scene, Rome dies. Not that Rome didn't have its own issues with power, but as soon as they were overcame by a monotheist belief system, they were finished.
