Damn. Was actually looking forward to that Rogue Squadron film. Welp.

They need to just hire me. I'll get films on screen asap.
Not those kind of movies.
Didn’t think they’d explore Mandalore this soon, especially with Bo giving Din the run down. Ngl, I thought for a moment Din was about to get butt naked in front of Bo to bathe in that water LOL!Man, underwater Jet Packs?!?!?
I might be mistaken.....but Bo seems to workin with somethin back there.
Din moves that darksaber like it's a hundred pounds. Bo moves it like she Obi Wan.
Have we SEEN Mandalore destroyed on film? Clone Wars, Rebels, Bad Batch, Mandalorian, Film, Ando, Book of Boba???? I kept racking my brain, when did they destroy it THIS bad??? I remember some battles from Clone Wars, but not like we're seein here.
Would love to see it rebuilt, and in live action.
Grogu getting close to speaking it feels like.
2 eps in, pretty decent start to the season.
I like the 4-way possibly 5 struggle/battle among those factions.IF I had the chance at getting some things on film, I'd jump forward 100+ years.
I'd work around the edges of the known stories/heroes/villains. But not actually overfocus on them.
For instance (just ideas in my head....)
I like the idea of a strong force user not being a Jedi or a Sith. (Grey Jedi?) Someone who was a part of the newly rebuilt Jedi Order but became disenchanted with their ways, but didn't exactly run to the Sith either.
Sith rule of two? Gone. Sith have also rebuilt and done away with their old rule. Each have their own Holocrons, and our Grey Jedi learns from both of them but decides they are both antiquated in their ways. (Insert old holo images from Old Republic era Sith/Jedi, as well as mentions of the Jedi fall and handling of Anakin light to dark to light again)
The Mandalorians are also fully rebuilt and equally dangerous. The blacksaber is now in new hands, but on top of that an actual Mandalorian Jedi exists. Like Boba, an outsider not tied to Mandalore ways, but strong in the force. Internally struggling between Jedi and Mandalorian. (Rarely the two sides see eye to eye) The standout piece, an orange lightsaber for the Mandalorian Jedi
The main Jedi character and Sith character would end up on the same planet and would run into the "grey Jedi". During a short battle, both would become aware of him. There'd be tension, mistrust, but solid dialogue as he points out the flaws in both old religions. All 3 sides would make decent points but would be interrupted by Mando's sneak attacking.
Call outs for reinforcements would ensue with a small ship each of 3-4 Jedi and Sith showing up including the Mandalorian Jedi (obviously conflicted) During the battle, all sides would turn on each other.....but also help in some situations. Picture the main Sith actually stopping a Mando from taking down the main Jedi. The Grey Jedi battling both Sith/Jedi AND Mando's.
There'd also be an introduction of a newer age Empire/First Order, maybe led by a Chiss but not Thrawn. (Again, the focus to get away from former characters other than mere mentions)
That would be four factions to spin the story around, Jedi, Sith, Mando's, and Imperial. Sides could turn from scene to scene, leaders and spies within multiple groups, and maybe even a Sith council hungry for power but not at the expense of their numbers for a change.
Enough pieces, characters, could probably create trilogies and/or spin offs. I've also thought about a dual lightsaber being used, one side red, the other green.
Just some paper napkin ideas. If I really sat down for more than 5-10 min I could prolly polish some of it better.
I like the 4-way possibly 5 struggle/battle among those factions.
Lost me at orange lightsaber though.
I'm with you for the most part.is just an idea, wouldn't be somethin I demand or anything.
But I feel like the 4-5 diff sides/views could represent something stronger/deeper in terms of actual "wars" than senate meetings and space blockades. (I will forever be furious that we just throw some droids in a donut ship in orbit and the rest of the galaxy can't help, so just sent two Jedi....... )
But whatever new leader of Mandalore with the Darksaber.
An actual Jedi Mandalorian.
A neither Sith nor Jedi character
A Sith council
The rebuilt Jedi Order
Imperial remnants led by a Chiss successor
And only casual mentions of history on Skywalkers, Emperor etc so you get a true separation. No Artoo, no Threepio, no Chewbacca etc.
*Shrugs*
Would just be my approach to truly opening up the franchise. They gotta stop shoehorning everything into the same God damn 30-40 year window of time. 11 films + every show all connected to that exact same era.
To state the gist of it there'd be a series of movies (With lord movie, Mace Windu movie, etc.) and the overall theme would be about an extremely powerful force user neither sith or jedi (specifically against both) that balances . He's against them so much that he decides to get rid of both groups and uses the time travel method seen in Rebels that Ashoka unknowingly used. Through a series of historical events he is present among both the sith and jedi engineering their downfall, posing as both sith lords and jedi masters enacting a plan to wipe them out (for the betterment of the galaxy of course). He is ultimately successful as we know most of the sith die and he had some influence on Darth Bane to create the rule of 2 limiting the number of sith which paves the way for Palpatine eventually. He's also the reason the Jedi council could not sense they sith right under their nose. Then after using the sith to destroy jedi lst things play out so that's a jedi takes down the remaining sith. Then he'd go and kill Luke before he could form his new order post RotJ (also killing Leia, Han, and Sidious) preventing and changing all of the events for characters like Finn, Poe, and Rey so they can be reimagined any which way. (If this is too much of a change for some they can think of it like an alt timeline like in the remade Star Trek movie series).Iono about time travel, but I agree on the Senate/Senators non focus.
Yeah, I **** with this. More new and not rehashing the same old stuffI thought about situations where beliefs align that you wouldn't expect. Imagine the Sith helping Mandalorians, and the Jedi and the Emperial Remnants don't like it. Imagine them working together on something.
The Grey Jedi guy, he befriends a Jedi, doesn't like the Jedi as a whole, but this individual Jedi is ok......and also has a certain Sith he's ok with. So, by extension, the Jedi and Sith folk have a common friend, and sometimes their interests align to work together. I'm not sayin anyone is switchin sides, or getting married or nothing like that, just that at times, in times of war, bonds are forged for a common interest. After that, you can be "enemies" again, even you aren't really enemies to begin with.
Enough with the lusts for power, or the threat of wiping out planets and stuff like that, just have regular ole disagreements that need to be fought for that make sense for all sides.
Jedi can be right......and Sith can be right. "From a certain point of view....."
There's so much out there you can build off of. You can still have smugglers, you can still have Bounty Hunters, you can have Pirates, you can even have Droid factions. Those are the stories I would try to create if I were Kathleen's group. Enough of trying to explain another piece of the Clone Wars, or yet another Palpatine revival or whatever, you have an entire galaxy to play with and an unlimited time allowance either before or after the stuff we've already seen. Explore and develop it.
There already is time travel in Star Wars though. Please no time travel in Star Wars. That’s the only saving grace it has right now. A limit to the stupidity.
Something of the sort did happen in Rebels during her battle with Vader. There already is time travel in Star Wars though.
Ashoka's whole existence is proof of it.
That's what I'm talking about.Something of the sort did happen in Rebels during her battle with Vader.
