We got my son a Finn jacket for Christmas and he wore it all day....in 70 degree weather.
The midichlorian stuff doesn't really discount the whole dark side/light side human emotions metaphor. It just explains on a science level how they work in a vague way which still sounds limke magic. Its no different than science explaining emotions via biochemistry and how parts of the brain works.
When it was first brought up sounded like some dbz **** to me
It was a stupid, lame plot device to say Anakin was "created" and not have to explain his parents.
Would have been smarter to start with him age 18 and showing "gifts" and his parents were killed when he was young. Clears that back story and lets him begin his training in first movie instead of wasting the entire film on nothing bull ****. Alas.

George was fleshing more stuff out about the force with the living force and unifying force stuff.
Midichlorians was just the term to measure how force sensitive you are. Its pretty much subbing in for the word force.

.That's the whole point. CP highlighted it in a post replying to me. The Sith are constantly backstabbing each other to be in charge while at the same time they're also fighting the Jedi. When warring with the Jedi they never call a truce among themselves. It's straight up Game of Thrones with the Sith.The apprentice is ALWAYS scheming on the master

So I guess some wise old Sith noticed that and when he was like the last Sith left, moving forward he created the rule of 2 (from brief searching online this was Darth Bane but this is no longer canon).
Palpatine/Sidious has shown to be the smartest and most cunning of the Sith thus far. Killed Plageuis (his master right?), was using Maul, Dooku, and whoever else as apprentices that he was always planning on killing after they outlived their usefulness. That's one thing that matches up from the PT to ep IV. It was the one cool thing to watch dude pull strings on both sides. Every command as Sidious to the Trade Federation and his apprentice(s) help gain Palpatine more power.
Bane creating the rule of 2 is still canon because it gets referenced in clone wars but i think the rest of his story isn't
off topic but if ANYONE from the Star Wars world deserves a game it's Darth Bane. He basically went on a God Of War-esque quest through Sith Temples to find ancient holocrons for information and power.

That reddit link explaining the force stuff was just really good and a pretty on point way of interpreting what George wanted to do or did do but he didn't focus on in the movies. I assume George wanted to establish how things were different with the force and Jedi 30 and 20 years ago cuz in one sense we're talking about a time where any religion you choose isn't just a belief, it's a fact. All the stories and miracles. The Jedi are living proof and the way they operate, their doctrine, and protocols are all presented in a non-magical way. I dare say hence, George introducing midichlorians. It takes decades of being humbled and patience for Yoda and Obi-Wan for them to present the force in the OT in a magical and much more hopeful way. Essentially, the Jedi and force in the PT weren't suppose to be that source of wonder. It's Luke that represents that. Not Anakin, young Obi-Wan, and the Jedi council word to Qui-Gon Jinn's stagnant position among Jedi knights.

They could switch up the whole history and credit somebody else or pretend like the Sith always had that rule.I'd hope he survives in some form. Wouldn't just be a dope game but a dope anthology movie.
