Stern: Only 5-7 NBA Teams are Profitable?

My guess would have been:

1. Knicks. Yes, the Knicks. Even if they suck, they will always bring in $
2. Lakers
3. Chicago
4. Houston
5. Toronto
6. Dallas
7. Boston

Yeah, I didnt put the Cavs. They are up there too... my bad.

To be un-biased, Toronto is a pretty large market. Not only that, but it has the entire country behind it...

But yeah, I could assume that people think I said that because im a Raps fan...

All my opinion though of course. If I put the Cavs on there, I take Dallas out (yes, even if they have 300 odd sellouts in a row)

at the knicks having -42 mil in operating income, but still topping the list in value.

Ditto.

Considering its a hockey country, most games that are against .500+ teams are almost sold out every time. Sunday games are always packed too.

Exactly. The way the TV deals and the profit revenue sharing are set up, all NBA and NFL teams are guaranteed to make a profit. Some make motethan others, but the profits are there. This is the same game the NFL owners are spitting. Like you said, They are getting ready the play hardball duringthe next CBA negotiations .
