Hey everyone, I am new to the forums, but have been lurking for a couple of weeks now and have found this forum to be an amazing resource for everything related to Sneakers. I recently purchased a couple of pair of Lebrons and wanted to get some feedback from others on the situation:
Anyways, when I heard that Nike was dropping the Lebron X EXT Hazelnut a while back, I fell in love and knew I had to have not one, but two pair. I struck out on release day and so I went to eBay and bought two pair, from two different sellers. It wasn't until I had both pairs in hand that I realized that the suede on these shoes appears to be slightly different and I am wondering if this is common or not (in the world of suede fabric and in the world of suede sneakers).
The first pair that I ordered shipped almost immediately, and the seller had originally purchased them from Footlocker. This pair has a lighter suede, and is almost "thin" for lack of a better word. It is hard to find words to describe so I will post photos.
The second pair is of course where the doubts/concerns were raised. This pair was purchased by the seller from Nike.com and the second they reached his house he shipped them to me. I received them about a week after release. The suede on these is much darker, and almost "thicker" like a fur.
Both pair feel amazing on foot, and the quality all around seems very high on both pairs of shoes. I have no complaints with either of them. I am just wondering, is this normal for suede/suede shoes? Could it be that they are from different factories and used different sheets/rolls of suede? I doubt either are fake, as I have even seen official photos online where some show the lighter suede, and others have the darker, more "thick" looking suede.
I have looked around but haven't heard anyone else that has noticed this. Anyone with thoughts / information is definitely appreciated!
