at the comparison with the structure heel

from what i have seen the level of quality throughout the different structure pairs is really inconsistent. luckily my two pairs are fine beside a little scuffon the black mudguard on one shoe. but as many other people have posted here i have seen pairs in the store with some heavy creasing even in the box. nevernoticed the heel problem posted here but i think something like this should not pass quality control. considering the pairs i have i am more than happy withthis retro but i can understand that some people argue about them.

I mentioned this in passing in the Structure thread that the creasing is a result of the thin toebox + the tissue paper used to stuff the toe. The thinmaterial takes on whatever shape the tissue is so wrinkled tissues will produce wrinkled toes.

This can be rectified by wearing the shoes because your feet will provide a better shape than thin, wrinkly tissue.

More Structure pics, this time of the toebox and the tissue-paper. For those really worried about creasing, I guess you can try using one of the cardboardshoetrees that come with other Nikes. They may be able to hold the shape better than the paper can.

The toes aren't as wrinkled as I've seen on other pairs.

The paper is what's important, imo, in maintaining the toe's Structural integrity.
