Thats not a bad line up. If it comes close I'll definitely be in attendance.

i havent seen MisSigs in like 4 years and thats before Controller came out, their best album to me.

did you order the hooded menace and asphyx split?

^Ocean Avenue was played heavy when I was in 8th grade. Pretty much the sound track to all my relationship drama as a pre-teen haha. I still sing along when it comes up on shuffle on my ipod.

so, team, i have a dilemma...

i know most of you enjoy both rap music and metal so i ask: on friday jul 29 there are 2 shows. one metal, one rap. im at conflict as to which one i should go to

the rap show features one of my all time favorite rappers. its his first time in the city and ive never seen him before. one of the best, well rounded and consistent dudes out today. BUT, hes playing a crappier venue, prolly have meh local acts opening for him, tickets are roughly twice as expensive and the crowd i know will have some douchetards

the metal show has 4 decent to very good bands. the bands are nowhere near my all time favorite list, but 3 of them i am kinda stoked to see. the tickets are ~18 bucks (as opposed to ~42 for the rap concert), better venue and the crowd would be more familiar than the rap show

i would be going to either alone

before i name who they are (seeing how you may be biased), in terms of value and just the things considered above, who would rather you see?

now, said shows in spoiler

ive had to put a halt on vinyl purchases. so i havent really copped any vinyl for months now. but that is one i'll probably regret not picking up, plus now that its pretty much sold out everywhere the value is gonna go up.

dude have you seen the Inquisition "baptized in black goat blood" shirt $+$! i hated having to pass that up and the Into the Infernal...reissue and Ominous Doctrines... on vinyl.

as for your dilemma, if i were in your shoes, id go see Common because you say hes one of your favorites, you never seen him, plus hes headlining which usually means longer set. only reason i would consider Exhumed is cause of the price. $42 for Common is OD. ive seen my dude Common Sense live may times and have never paid more than $25 even when headlining. its been a minute since i seen him though so maybe his price tag has gone up since.

now if it were me (having seen every one at least once) id go to Exhumed , cheaper and better line-up.

also i gotta say, Common is great live, and is even better with a live band.

So thanks to my roommate, A Day To Remember found their way onto my iPod.
I'm not gonna front, my metal-drive has been dying down, I can't get into most bands nowadays, none of my favorite bands are dropping anything new

Yo Physicx, I'm not a fan of Common but I can dig a few things fromt he dude. Now you said he is one of your ALL TIME favorite rappers. I'd say you should go check him out because you never know when your going to see him again seeing as he doesnt visit your town much.  All those bands from the metal side tour often so more than likely they will come your way again. However Exhumed and Macabre is beastly but go check out Common.  Shoot if someone told me Gang Starr resurrected from the dead and was playing a show in San Antonio I'd be there with the quickness lol. Let us know what you decide.

Bro Common is one of my favs too and I'm going to have to go with Common honestly, you said it was a rarity for him to go to your city and your fav so pick them idk about general price ranges for your area, but 42 is average for the bay here. not much of a factor on price imo but for you it has to be since you stated it

Common bro

i'd go with Common too but i'm not really into those bands so its an easy decision for me.

almost had a heart attack when my stereo wasnt working before but i got it to work again. first song i put on to celebrate:

the bounce on the 2step @ 1:34 and the ending breakdown are so

^I can growl but not scream so I always thought that I wouldn't be in a band in case that would happen
laugh.gif

But Now I'm trying to find a song, was at a metal bar last night and the background song was amazing with the solo midway through, I know for a fact its Pantera, ending of the song ended with "f--- it, f--- it, f--- it."
if it helps the next song had the words "5 minutes alone" repeated a lot (same album?), and a song or 2 after was I'm broken. all songs by Pantera

Sounds like it was off of Far Beyond Driven
Strength beyond strength or Becoming is what I'm gonna guess was the song

Common without a doubt, Common has a great live show and I've onlyh seen him twice but I would jump at the chance to see him perform again.

That being said. I would love to see Macabre...

Let us know what you choose and definitely take pics bro bro.

Glad to see this thread popping up on page one!
