TERMINATOR THREAD - Terminators 40th

Was hoping James Cameron meant what he said but I guess they paid him enough money to say nice things about the film.

17% on RT right now.

They will never get terminator right lmao

Their first mistake was writing the movie to allow Arnold to be in it.

The problem is all this crap looks cartoon-ish. There's no sense of realism anymore. In the original and T2, you felt like a lot of it was real because of the practical effects. That's why those movies hold up (maybe not T1 as much, but definitely T2). Now, it's just a CGI splooge fest.

T2 looks just as good as it did when ity came out same as the Jurassic Park they puy a nice mix of cgi and practical effects

I just watched the bootleg. I don't know which is worse, this or Salvation. Probably Salvation. Man I'm so done with Terminator.

I don't see how knowing t-800 being good spoils the movie. Salvation and this new trailer DOES :lol the twist in the plot is over. T-800 proves he's good within 15-20 mins of the movie running

I mean its not really but think of how cool it would have been going to the movie thinking Arnold is the bad guy again only for him to save John. Like the movie in the beginning is edited to make it seem like that he is the still the bad guy.

Going to watch it in a few. Getting killed on reviews, but supporting Arnie.

Arnold and Emilia Clarke were the only positives. JK Simmons was also a breathe of fresh air but he was barely in it.

Everything else was forgetable. All I wanted to be was entertained cause expectations were so low but the scrambled timeline just gave me a headache.

Do not care that James Cameron gets the rights back to the franchise in three years because he is too busy making boring Avatar films.

Man movie was bad. Arnold was cool. Sarah was really pretty, but honestly doesn't hold a candle to Linda. And also it's like they totally ignored and gave Kyle a whole new personality. Man was nowhere near the caliber actor of Biehn?

And really sad to see Arnold get so old. He always looked badass and now :( Father Time is undefeated.

That fight with the `84 T-800 vs the 2027? T-800 was so gaaay. It's like watching a video game fight.

T-1000 didn't seem to be much of a threat. It's like they threw him in there just to get T2 fans interested then they dispose of him quickly. The trailers makes it look like the old terminators would be more involved. Someone said they put that Asian guy in there to market to get Asian money, and once I saw the film, I understood the comment I hope this film flops to discourage further embarassment to the Terminator.

Man Asian Terminator was a huge letdown...

Dude didn't look menacing at all.
Also Terminator getting arthritis :{

Turning into a T1000 :x

Getting lambasted in here and also out of the thread

Was going to give this movie a chance but I think I'll just wait till the rental

Movie was so cheesy my god really couldn't take it at some points. It's clear as day they made this movie with the sole goal of cashing in and not giving a **** about whether it was a quality product or not.

Only good parts were Emilia Clarke and that rack ugh she is so beautiful fam :o

Also, if you've seen the trailer you've seen the entire movie I'm dead serious lol I like honestly can't comprehend why they would throw the entire plot twist of the movie into the trailer. Frustrating.

So far this summer has been horrible IMO with the movie selection. I'm not talking about money because JP4 killed but I thought the movie was meh at the absolute best. Think I'll catch this movie on bootleg :x

Movie wasn't very good and this is coming from someone who enjoys a lot of the "summer block-buster" movies

Such a shame. I was all in to watch this movie a couple weeks ago. Ehh if I'm bored I may still watch for Emilia Clarke.

Just came back from seeing it. I dont think it was bad. A lot of callbacks to t1 and t2 and sarah was looking gooooddddd

Maybe this is the end of Terminator for a LONG time, only on pace to make $45 million in its first 5 days
