Yes you can. Standing there protecting your privates while allowing someone to run you over is not a basketball play. You don't play basketball like that. No one defends like that.
A legit defensive play where your sliding your feet, and beat a guy to the spot and then he runs you over? That's another story

agree with taking the charge away, but they need to make sure defenders are allowed to contest shots if they are vertical. its not right that pretending to be a traffic cone is a better defensive option than actually jumping to contest a shot
