That's because the Knicks wanted him as a 2nd option. Son use to get hot when in the perfect role and watch blatt do just that. He's a 4th option and will get little to no attention from the defense, when they are 100% he can flourish. Bron will get the credit.

Already? He's been in the league for 10 years. His peak has come and gone. Plus, I don't think he was a throw-in part of this deal. The Cavs needed him to replace Waiters. They actually wanted him (and the Knicks wanted him gone. Win-win).

JR isn't that good anymore. that injury really took him back a notch. he's a volume shooter with decreasing athleticism and speed. role player off the bench in a good offense, maybe he can find a niche.
