Last year.

You're not very good at this.

My bad we've had one winning record since 2010...Knicks have been to the playoffs 3 times since then and I think were second in the East one of those years. Y'all Melo haters got it...send him to Charlotte straight up for Lance we'll take it. :D

The Knicks have made the playoffs one more time than the Bob Hornets in that time frame

Never forget

Debating on whether or not to Max out DJ.

We're strapped as it is, and while Dj does bring great things he has some incredible value right now and maybe we can get a sign / trade done.

I'd only do a sign and trade or just keep him, unfortunately yall have still have Doc making roster decisions instead of only coaching ones.

nah i rock with Spike gotta love the mans loyalty.

never thought i would see the day when the Clippers franchise would pass the Knicks franchise. Knicks will forever be cursed for shipping Pat to Seattle.

if you told me back in the mid 90's the knicks would be in the dumpster in the next 20 years, i wouldve laughed in your face.

Posted this in the Clippers thread, relevant here. That the Clippers roster will largely be the same next year without any addition worth looking at.

If DeAndre re-signs (it's a likely chance), the roster will basically stay as is.

No pick this draft.

CP3, DeAndre & Blake = $60.3mil, make it an even $60mil.
Hawes (who you can't trade, no one will take him) is $5.5mil

So you have $1.6mil in cap space. All eaten up by stretching Farmar, Delfino & Raduljica ($1.4mil)

Crawford & Barnes are non-guaranteed to the tune of $2.5mil, but cutting them loose serves no benefit. So that's $9.2mil

CP3, Blake & DeAndre
Crawford, Barnes & Hawes
Farmar, Delfino & Radujica (no longer on the roster)

= $76mil (probably a couple $100K more)

Add in JJ Redick, who you could trade, but it would be the same thing as cutting Crawford or Barnes, you'll need to replace them, and fill a hole elsewhere, and it isn't necessarily worth it when your depth issues are all over, and lack of resources to replace them.

76 + 7 = $83mil

The luxury tax is supposed to be $85.1mil, which if you cross that, you cannot use the $5.7mil Mid-Level Exception (if you do use it, you are hard capped as well for that season).

It leaves the Clippers with about $3.376mil with the mid-level exception to spend and league minimums.

Lol so now Melo's getting the "not enough help" excuse too?

Melo played with Langston Galloway and Andrea bargani, he has no help :lol

Meanwhile cp3 had a top 3 pf top 5 center and couldn't get out of the second round.

The one time melo had a squad he made it to the conference finals.

Knicks were a great team the year we won over 50 and had Kidd coaching. Still can't believe some of those decisions Woodson made against Indiana in that series. We should have won that and I thought we had a great shot against Miami. We were 3-1 against them during the regular season. The only good year we had since the late 90s and the Knicks managed to Knicks themselves.

Most Knick fans don't even want Carmelo. Not sure where yall are getting info from.

Damn...even if DJ walks the clips have next to nothing to offer anybody.

Balmer has gotta fire Doc as GM. How in the hell do you wind up with a worse team talent wise than when you got there.

Making someone Coach & GM is always a bad idea.

More times than not they go after "their players" and "guys they like" and end up screwing everything up.

Coaches should have input on roster moves, but they sure as hell shouldn't be making them.

@daldridgetnt: Paul Pierce will not do exit interviews w/media in D.C. today, leaving open his plans for next season.
