I think so. They're gonna end up with Winslow, Johnson, or Hezonja imo. I feel SVG and co. can help him develop his jumper. You think he can develop a jumper ?
Curious as to why Gentry deserves it and why he is such a good choice
Responsible for GSW's dominance? Wow, I wouldn't know how to go about quantifying thatBecause he's an offensive guru and is the one responsible for GSW's dominance along with Ron Adams.
Not to mention he's already had success as a head coach.
When he had even marginal talent on PHX, he made it all the way to the WCF. Those Pisstons and Clippers teams were horribly constructed. He deserves much of another shot as these other retreads in Karl, Scott, MDA, etc.

He hasn't had success as a head coach. He's had two winning season in 12 years
If I'm the Pels I don't risk AD on an assistant coach (which by all accounts he seems to excel at)
Other stars had recently signed groundbreaking deals: Shaquille O'Neal, $120 million; Alonzo Mourning, $101 million; Juwan Howard, $105 million.
Tangible, of course. To say he's responsible? Don't know if I can agree with that

His impact on GS's offense is very tangible man.
had no defense tho2010 Suns were talented and a well constructed team.
Too bad they broke up that summer.

Gortat said he loves playing with Nene but wants to play with a stretch-4 more often next season.

Nene on playing more 5: “I hope not.” Said he’d be ok with coming off the bench tho.
From 15th to 1st in offense, and Alvin Gentry deserves the lions share of that credit.Responsible for GSW's dominance? Wow, I wouldn't know how to go about quantifying thatBecause he's an offensive guru and is the one responsible for GSW's dominance along with Ron Adams.

Both were Top 5 picks, not really a coincidence. The Sacramento Kings have had lottery picks in each of the past 8 drafts. Only 2 made an All Rookie team
Exactly.
He made the damn system, they have the exact same players.
Unless he's one of those people that thinks Kerr designed that offense in his first year of coaching.
“What they did in Memphis is beyond comprehension,” said Popovich. “There should be a trade committee that can scratch all trades that make no sense. I just wish I had been on a trade committee that oversees NBA trades. I’d like to elect myself to that committee. I would have voted no to the L.A. trade.”
Looking back on Pau Gasol to the lakers it was a pretty fair trade, the lakers basically traded then for now
Look at Pop's comments on it
damn i hope this doesn't happen

I'm reading that KG Oral History on BR
and thinking back to all the massive deal players signed in the late 90s-early 00s........ before inflation...... holy crap those guys were making huge money
Garnett was just 21 years old, and two years into his NBA career, when he signed what was then the richest contract in pro sports history: $126 million over six years. The deal, signed in October 1997, triggered fierce skepticism and derision, even among other NBA players.
"He is on the hit list," an unnamed player told the Miami Herald at the time. Although Garnett made the All-Star team in his second season, he was not yet a superstar and had not won a playoff game. Yet the value of his contract was more than double what Michael Jordan had earned in his career to that point. The price tag for Garnett was nearly $40 million more than what Glen Taylor paid to purchase the team just two years earlier.
