Wasn't Harden on the Thunder in 2011? Does your current profile pic show up when you go that far back on twitter?

I know the rumors of KD leaving have been heating up a bit in OKC, any many have been speculating he goes to DC with Wall & Beal.

Now me being a huge fan of Wall i root for the wizards on the Eastern Conference, and i know that the East is much Easier to get out of then the West so i can see why DC would be a favorable landing spot (Outside of it obviously being his hometown).

But in all honesty If we are looking at just Basketball Can any team really be set up better than OKC.

- In the West the machine that is the spurs are gonna have to rebuild eventually, they will no longer be the super power that they are.
- Dirk is on his last legs in Dallas, Kobe On his last legs in L.A both will take some time to rebuild.
- The Clippers as they stand now look to have maxed out, and CP3 is reaching 30.
- The Grizzilies even if they keep Marc Gasol still don't have much young up & coming talents & a big piece of there Core in Randolph will naturally start to decline.

So in the near future you basically have GS, & HOU as the only teams with superstars and young talent that Can still possibly develop & compete for a championship this instant.

Now OKC Best 3 players are literally just reaching their primes now. By the start of next years season

KD- 27
Russ- 27
Ibaka - 26
Kanter - 23
Adams - 21
Waiters - 23
Mcgary - 22
Roberson - 23
Augistin - 29

This team already went to the finals at an extremely young age and beat many of the top Players/teams in their prime throughout their playoff runs. For the past 2 years they have been getting beat with injuries at the wrong time which has caused them earlier than expected exits. With that said is their rreally a better Core of players Durant could bolt to in the future?

He already has built chemistry with these guys, been to the finals, and is really comfortable there. Assuming they bring back Kanter, i don't think there's a better core of young players he could realistically be around to help him get ring #1. Him & Russy might be the most unstoppable Duo put together since Kobe/Shaq as far as a scoring tandem go. And despite the BS the media constantly tries to blow up him and Russ seem to have an extremely close relationship

With many of the Older generation superstars bowing out, & the newer ones not being on teams that are prepared.... is it really sensible at all for him to contemplate leaving OKC? Knowing that their's a window opening for this team to dominate the west for the next 3-4 years?

This is all extremely interesting especially when you start to consider the descent of the teams that have consistently been staples in the west over the course of the last 15 years (Lakers, Mavs, Spurs).

Outside of the Warriors and Rockets, who else is going to challenge OKC? Minnesota, IF they their draft choice this year pans out and Wiggins develops into a superstar could be a problem. The Pels are there too and any team with Anthony Davis is a team that's got major potential, but they're still figuring it out.

And to be honest, I don't even consider Houston to be in the same class as GS or OKC after how they played their last two rounds in the playoffs. They're obviously still in need of a point guard who can run the offense and the team as a whole hasn't properly matured as shown by the hero ball mentality that takes over that team when they fall into a hole.

So really once the Spurs finally do implode and the Mavs are completely out of the picture, who else is there besides GS and OKC? Everyone else is at least 3 pegs below and GS and OKC will be the only teams to have went to a Finals.

KD gonna get his. Very soon.

if okc his healthy, they are winning 60 plus games..

after trading away harden the thunder won more games and were more efficient offensively.. unfortunately westbrook got hurt the 2nd game of the playoffs

in last year's playoffs ibaka got hurt right before the western finals vs the spurs

all that with the deadweights of: brooks, perkins and Thabo's offense.. then you had brooks' veterans' retirement packages for fisher and butler.. and his refusal to play adams til he was desperate (basically what he did with mcgary this year, even with ibaka getting hurt)

so add in kanter, morrow, dj and 14th pick.. plus a coach with a brain

So the Heat are trying to stick it to Wade for taking 2 pay cuts in his last 2 deals and now he is trying to recoup that money?

Not to be that guy but this is why I've always been against players taking less when it was thought to be the wave last season. The situation is coming back at him and getting messy. And that's with him having most of the leverage.

That is why he should leave and don't ever look back

Yeah. Assuming everyone comes back healthy, and pending roster changes to other teams in the West, I'll have OKC as a favorite to win the West. Possibly THE favorite, if GSW were to lose Draymond or something like that.
