That's at least half the fun of March Madness...watching the meltdowns in decision making and seeing basketball IQ go out the window contributes so much to the typical greatness.
Agreed and outside of the obvious huge talent gap it's not like every NBA game is some masterful ball being played. Kind of have to enjoy these games for what they are and feel lucky if you get a great matchup.
 
Did the clock start early and did the refs blow it?

By you pointing this out, you are voluntarily bringing up how two passes in 1.7 seconds brings in too many outside variables like refs and the game clock manager that you can’t ultimately control your own outcome.

Tennessee should’ve ran a play that brought one post player sprinting to the middle of the court—past the halfcourt line—pass it to a height where only he could get it, then call a timeout. That would be the only realistic play to run in that point where they could have controlled their own outcome and gotten a good shot off in the end.
