CREIGHTON TURNAROUND
After a bad week in late-November and another one in early January, Creighton has turned it on lately.
The Bluejays have reeled off seven straight games and are just one game behind Missouri Valley leader Northern Iowa.
``Offensively we've been hitting shots and we've been switching things up defensively," Altman said. "I think it's kept people off-balance."
Altman has gone with a point guard duo of solid veteran Josh Dotzler and athletic freshman Antoine Young.
Dotzler has a 4-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio over the past three games and Young has also done a nice job of taking care of the ball.
``We had two bad weeks," Altman said. ``But we're playing better. I'm still not satisfied, but we've gotten a lot better."
Creighton has five sophomores and one freshman among its top 10 players. Even guys like Booker Woodfox and Cavel Witter are second-year kids out of the junior college ranks, so it's not as if they have tons of experience in the program.
``The only guy that had been with us longer than a year coming into the season was Dotzler," Altman said.
Woodfox ia s guy who hasn't received much attention nationally, but he's the only player in the country to rank in the Top 10 in 3-point and free throw percentage.
``If you put him in a shooting contest with Kyle (Korver), he could hang with him," Altman said. "That's a bold statement."
NATION'S TOP 10 SHOOTERS
Here's my revised version of the nation's Top 10 shooters:
1) Jimmy Baron, Rhode Island
2) Stephen Curry, Davidson
3) Jodie Meeks, Kentucky
4) Jack McClinton, Miami
5) Kyle McAlarney, Notre Dame
6) Booker Woodfox, Creighton
7) Chad Toppert, New Mexico
Terrence Oglesby, Clemson
9) A.J. Abrams, Texas
10) Rihards Kuksiks, Arizona State
MCDONALD'S ALL-AMERICAN
Here is the list of McDonald's All-Americans. John Wall and Jordan Hamilton were both ineligible because they are fifth-year players and Daniel Orton wasn't allowed to play because he's been hurt and hasn't played the necessary number of games in his senior season.

RANDOM NOTES: Scout.com's Evan Daniels reported that Oregon State gained a verbal commitment from Australian 6-foot-9 senior Angus Brandt, who ranks 86th in the nation in Scout.com's rankings. … Oklahoma has dismissed seldom-used sophomore reserve Kyle Cannon from the team for violating team rules. … Big Sky commissioner Doug Fullerton has been appointed to the 10-person Men's Basketball Committee and will begin a five-year term next year. He joins Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe and Wake Forest AD Ron Wellman as those recently selected to serve on the committee, replacing outgoing members Chris Hill (Utah), Mike Slive (SEC) and Tom O'Connor (George Mason). The remainder of the committee next year consists of Dan Guerrero (UCLA), Eugene Smith (Ohio State), Laing Kennedy (Kent State), Jeff Hathaway (UConn), Stan Morrison (Big West), Lynn Hickey (Texas) and Mike Bobinski (Atlantic 10). … Indiana junior Devan Dumes, who was suspended the last two games, will return tonight against Wisconsin. … College of Charleston senior forward Jermaine Johnson has been reinstated after serving a one-game suspension for violating team rules. … Stony Brook's Michael Tyree, who has played just 55 minutes all season and scored a grand total of 13 points, played 27 minutes and had 25 points in a win against Boston University last night. … Illinois State point guard Lloyd Phillips returned to the team, but missed his third game over the weekend - a win over Drake - after leaving the club due to personal issues. … Murray State will be without freshman Donte Poole for the rest of the season after he suffered a broken collarbone in the Racers game against Tennessee Tech.
I'd take Stefon Jackson and Tyreke in CUSA. I like Wes Witherspoons future as well.
As much as I like them...Until Earl and T Will have any sort of perimiter game...meh.... for the next level
