he is a lumbering big in today's fast paced nba game
he doesn't look light on his feet or move fast. gonna be a disaster on defense.

I think best examples of bigs who changed their games for the modern era would be Al Horford and Marc Gasol. Both were mid range type centers who barely ventured to the permiter in first half of their careers. They then were able to adjust and take 3+ threes per game and shoot in high 30s to 40s. Pretty amazing if you think about it.

Traditional bigs are still highly effective at the college level as most teams can't stretch the floor like NBA teams. Edey will need to work on his athleticism and perimeter shooting to have a place in the NBA.
